90 % of drag raceing is 1/8 mile because 1/4 is super hard on parts that's why nhra has been talk8ng about going to the 1/8. A car that runs 1/8 gets 25 to 30 runs befor getting freshen up that gets cut in half running 1/4 and gets very expensive

It’s not just because it’s harder on parts it’s because it’s twice as dangerous…… 200 MPH+ with half the shut down distance is way more dangerous
