As a newly bald bloke, there's not many feelings as fulfilling than cleanly shaving your head. Feels unreal and confidence is instantly high. If you're nervous, just go for it. I prided myself on my hair, but when I shaved it I loved it. Everyone around me also told me it was as if I'd always been bald! Best decision I've made!

From when I was 19 till 22 I used to rock the grade 1/grade 2 buzzcut with a fade and a line up. I got a haircut every 2/3 weeks to maintain it. It looked nice but as my hair started to thin more and more it got to the point I needed to get a haircut every 5 days to maintain that look. And let me tell you, it was not worth it. I just shaved it all off at the start of this year and havent looked back since. It is way more of a bold and masculine look. It really makes a statement when you walk in a room. This also got me into the wet shaving hobby and I love it. I just turned 23 and I have finally completed the hairloss journey. Thank you so much for all the tips and tricks and making this topic a normality. Much love to all of you.

Awesome video! I think this will really help people decide what look to go for. I myself shaved my head in April to a grade 3, wasn't overly happy with it and grew it out. Shaved it using zero guard a couple of weeks ago and the difference it makes is crazy! It looks so much better and as you say it makes other features pop! I have been watching your videos for over a year now and they have helped so much! So a big thank you from me! and if anyone is still on the fence about shaving their head.. just do it :)

I watched a few of your videos and decided to take mine back to a zero. I’m in my mid 40’s but started thinning 5-6 years ago. I’m a metal / punk kind of guy so losing my hair was a big deal as it was a major part of my look. I also have dark hair and very white skin so it was a nightmare to hide. I’d been living with the patchiness for too long so last January I shaved it down to a 1. It was a bit of a shock and took me quite a few months to adjust, but as you’ve rightly pointed out, no-one else really gave a sh*t, some people didn’t even notice I’d shaved my head! I did that thing you do and grew it back for a month and it looked crap. When I saw your video this morning, it inspired me to go back to a zero. Losing your hair sucks, but you’re giving men such confidence and the benefit of your experience to not let it burden your life. Thanks. You’re doing a brilliant job and you’re advice has really helped.

This video inspired me to shave off my beard for the first time after 9 years of being bald and bearded. I had forgotten what my own face looked like, and had really started to think the beard was the only thing holding my look together. I was dependent on it and horrified imagining myself without it. But after watching this video I put eye of the tiger from Rocky on, and while listening I shaved it all off. Bye bye beard. And now I can see my face again after all these years. It's so strange, I'm trying to adjust. But I feel...liberated. I'm still me and I feel free. Thank you for the inspiration. It's getting emotion in here haha

Since I shaved it, I haven't looked back a single time, I feel SO much better now and all your videos just gave me the courage to do it in the first place. Awesome video idea! It's not often you see people compare different buzz/shave styles like this. I think my favorites are the 1-guard and the full razor shave. Honestly your positive reaction at the end to being "clean" again made me really happy, and I think that actually made it look even better, compared to the stone-cold seriousness of the others. Goes to show how much your confidence and attitude towards yourself can affect how others perceive you! Keep doing what you do and thanks for putting yourself out there for us folically-challenged-folk.

I've rocked a shaved head for several years throughout my life, and, now have long hair... I've noticed that people have something negative to say either way. I feel as though society wants us all to look the same, so I advise everyone to do what suits you. Whatever hair style you decide to go with, wear it with confidence, and others will fall in line. -- especially when it comes to strangers, they have no idea idea you just shaved your head for the first time. 😁

Without a doubt 2 or 1 are the best, much better than the 0. Some hair creates framing which looks good.People might make the case that the horseshoe should be shaved to a 0 but you can still see it exists, so if you have some hair up top shave a 1 or 2. Also whilst I don't disagree about the 0 highlighting other features, it does highlight head shape, which a 1 or 2 doesn't.

I’ve been stressing about losing my hair since my early 20’s but only started noticing losing my hair at about 25. I’ve always had longish “mop top” type hair and it’s been very hard to accept that this era was coming to an end as it was a defining feature while I was a teen into early 20’s. I managed to style my hair in ways that masked the problem for a few years but this past year it’s crossed the point of no return and I knew my days were numbered. It was looking increasingly bad and I was feeling worse and worse about it. I couldn’t even look directly into a mirror for a while it upset me so much. The fact people would occasionally poke fun and make off the cuff comments about my hairline made me hyper-fixate on the issue and I was really in a dark place over it. I discovered your videos the other day and was particularly intrigued by the metal musician shaving his head and I really related to how he was feeling. I watched this video earlier today and this coupled with a little “Dutch courage” emboldened me to finally take the inevitable plunge. I had originally hoped to reach 30 before doing it but why spend the next couple months miserable. And so at 29 I shaved down to a guard 2 tonight. I looked at what I’d done and rewatched this video and felt confident enough I could progress down to a guard 1 and I instantly felt even better. The hair that I’d panicked over for years lying in a sad little heap on the floor made me realise that life’s too short to live unhappy and I have been…for far too long. I don’t recognise the man I see in the mirror quite yet…and for that matter I’m worried how people will react at work on Monday…what my gf will say when she gets home later tonight. on that basis I decided to stop at 1 for now to allow myself some time to adjust and to garage people’s reactions to the new me but I’m hopeful that over the next few weeks I’ll be brave enough to go down to 0 guard. Despite those worries, I feel incredibly liberated by what I’ve done. I’m facing 30 with a new look and hopefully a more positive outlook on myself than had I continued trying to keep my hair. Thank you for helping me find my courage. You’re no bullsh*t informative videos and your whole vibe really made an impact on me. I’ll try to be brave on Monday and hopefully people will be kind.

I start getting uneasy after a day of not shaving my head. I went from a 3 guard, 2, 1, half, no guard, then slick. I love to keep it slick, no stubble.

Looking better and better with each level! My head would have been in rough shape after going over it so many times with the different lengths. What is your secret to avoid bumps and irritation?

Honestly, I think it all depends on the guys facial hair, head shape, and general features. In general, if you don’t have facial hair, I would probably go with the 1 guard. If you do have facial hair and the right head shape, you could probably rock all of the buzz cuts.

I was blessed with great hair genetics (so I’m not going bald anytime soon) but I still want to grow out a big beard and buzz cut my hair at some point. This video helped me decide that want a 2 on top and 1 on sides and back, thanks!
