Honestly this scene really took me by surprise. I knew that I was playing as the dark urge, but I didn't know the finer details of the mechanics... oops. I was really leaning hard into resisting the urge and this scene happened and it went from 0 to 100 so fast. Bit of context, I was playing as an ancient oath paladin.

same here - ancients, knew it would happen because browsing the wiki spoiled it for me, but still it hit me hard... and they made sure she can't be sent away before, withers says she suffered enough and others in the camp reacted bad, even when you don't lie about it... I felt so guilty I went oathbreaker, even though I havent planned to

@@sopelloprzecudny3203 I know... I tried to revive her too 😭 Honestly when it first happened, I was in denial. I thought my character was having a nightmare... until I realized it was real.

I was stunned and liked the twist. W/ DU you can resist a lot of the time in single player (I'm told it picks for you in MP when specific dialogue comes up). Until this point the background was cool edgy window dressing for my character, inconsequential outside of my choice to actively rebel. Then this happened lol. Since I was actively rebelling having this be completely out of player hands really got me more in character.

so there is no way to prevent this as "good" dark urge ?

I dunno, I think if they stay at your camp they're doomed. You can tell them to leave but idk if they listen

No. And why pick DU and go "good" if you won't accept that this inborn impulse is out of your hands until you find a cure. The lack of control is part of the character and this scene is a wake up call to those who had actively resisted up to this point.

@@draysmusicalshtposts6340 you can actually not kill Alfira by knocking her out in the grove but it's an other random PC that takes her place

you are quite inconsistent with the choice of your dialogue options... - "prepare to face the others, you aren't going to hide" - talks to Lae'zel - "I didn't do it, trust me..." make up your mind dude. doing it mish mash you never get any fun results. either resist the urge, satiate the hunger and hide it from others or satiate the hunger and shamelessly admit it.... then the result is very logical... like this, it's just random events, what is the point?

As far as the companions go, it is a bit annoying because it's the only dialogue option you have for them in regards to this scene is to try and absolve yourself of guilt. My character admitted to it and feels extreme guilt so I just have to leave that line unselected which kinda bothers me because I like exhausting dialogue.

seems unpolished, like they didn't add right dialogue options, but still companions react properly remembering you faced them.. though wyll seemed to have no idea what happened and karlach had zero reaction (just recruited her before the night)
