Just completed BG3 for a third time, on highest difficulty this time, and what can i say. This IS game of the year, regardless of your expirience in playing CRPG. Really epic adventure, where everyone can find something interesting for themselves. Looking forward to watching your playthrough, have fun! Your new subscriber.

On my 3rd playthrough and a longtime D&D player. Just subscribed, hope you have a blast. The world it's set in has nearly 40 years of world building and over 300 novels taking place in the setting. Its a massive amount of lore and I absolutely love that about it.

@@glebscheglov9291 it’s such an amazing game! I have a feeling my I’m going to play this game forever because of the great story, how detailed the game is, and all the choices you can make which can change depending on your class. You may have seen already, but you can mouse over the [Category] text on dialogue skill checks to see what bonuses or advantages you have pertaining to a skill check. For example, when inspecting the brain-creature (around the 32:00 minute mark) you see how it has [Strength], [Dexterity], and [Medicine] in front of the choices? Those are the skills you would use in order to perform the task. (As a Rogue, your most likely skill use would be Dexterity related. Not always, but typically.) If you hover the mouse over the words (Strength, Dexterity, Medicine) you will see some numbers show up pertaining to the dice-roll bonuses you receive. And since you passed your inspection check just before, you would have gotten a status called "Advantage" on the Medicine skill check. Advantage lets you roll 2 dice instead of just the 1 when making a check. And you will use which ever number is higher. (There's also a status called "Disadvantage" which also rolls two dice, but you take the lower number.) Additionally a roll of a 1 on the die is an automatic failure and a roll of a 20 is an automatic success. Called a "Critical Failure" or "Critical Success" respectively. In combat, you also roll dice when you attack(it's hidden, but the combat log will show you the rolls), and if you roll a 20 it's a critical hit, and will deal double-damage. And a 1 is a critical miss and will always miss.
@itisidaisy
@itisidaisy 7 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for the insight! I had no idea that I could hover over the skills and see numbers, how Advantage worked or even that there’s dice rolls during combat 🤯 I’m blown away! I have so much to learn about this game and d&d in general, but I’m excited to learn more and put it into practice when I play. Thank you again!

They do, however, hate Illithid/mind flayers/ghaik more than they like raiding other people. (They were genetically modified slaves of the Illithids for so long that their original culture is long-lost. There are other gith, who didn't want to be asshole space pirates when the Illithid empire collapsed, but they don't come up so much in the story. The two groups loathe one another almost as much as they both hate Illithids.)

Enjoying the play through! Quick tip if you dont mind. For both dnd and bg3, if you care for having optimal stats you want as many even numbers as possible. I know thats confusing. Every even number will increase the bonus you get for that stat by 1. So it goes 10-0, 12-1, 14-2, etc...The game doesnt do a great job explaining that, and imo gives classes/origin characters kinda bad default stats. The difference between a 15 or a 16 DEX for a rogue can be significant for example. You actually could have customized these at the beginning but I understand that its a lot of info all at once. Eventually you'll get the ability to respec your character so if you think this is something you care about I'd advice just rounding out those stats and playing around with it.
