"the dark urge" is not a specific character and was not present during pre release, that said given the nature of wizards and Waterdavians is it really surprising he would assume leadership? Unlike Shadowheart he knows he is hand picked by a deity, and Lazel is not present (the obvious leadership choice until Jahera shows up). Karlack is too relaxed, Shadowheart is conflicted, and Astarion is easily distracted by shiny objects, so yeah Gale.

You grow to love these characters, even Astarion (the typical gay friend of the group). But don't let that narrative to stop you from playing this game, I hate old RPG style games, but this one hooked me all the way to the point that turn base combat didn't matter to me.

Thank you Larian Studios for giving us this Diamond of a Game in a time when games are coming out in broken states this game is leaps and bounds above it competitors. This game deserved GOTY and I can't wait to see what else you this amazing studios comes up with with the love and attention it deserves. From voice acting to options and hidden interactions this game is hands down one the best games I've bought in years and I'm 35 so I grew up with Nintendo and words can't describe my love for this game. Even as an Adult game it is I still think they set a new standard for quality games and I thank you for it.

@@RSProduxx the characters get MUCH more fun and powerful after you get past the starting act, you should stick with your current character and see where it goes. You won't find the entrance to Baldur's gate in the first Act
