15:12 you did. He told you: he can’t leave if the curse is not lifted on the shadow cursed land. It is possible to lift the curse, you just need to succeed in a quest. The issue is, you never got that quest: it’s in the last light inn and everybody died before you could get it because you did not manage to save Isobel from the kidnapping.

Saving Isobel proves to be pretty challenging, since I believe it's scripted that all those summons target specifically her. Perhaps, you can take on a true soul before entering Isobel's room so she isn't in a fight, but I'm not sure about it.

I don't think you do? It's related to lifting the curse, which is not directly associated with isobel but someone else entirely. The questline is the one to get the confused lost man at last light to remember with the instrument you get from the house of healing.

I’m finally at a point in my play through where this episode doesn’t have spoilers! I like how your “good” playthrough allowed Shadowheart to go on her worst path. Literally it’s a brutal path you let her go on. I noticed that most of the companions will go down a dark path if you let them give in to their darkest proclivities. For a good endings you need to encourage their best selves even if they get mad.

Withers IS Jergal... in my opinion. I found a book in game where Jergal asks the same question that Withers asks when you first find him. [Edit: The name of the book is "On Death and Resurrection" and I always seem to find it in the Temple of Jergal] also at 30:45 if you speak wioth this dead Art dude. you get the Halsin Quest

Hey @WolfheartFPS , I know You're like 2-3 episodes ahead on each recording, but I wish you didn't head torwards the Baldurs Gate road yet. The curse is still affecting the area because you haven't found the boy of the forest the druid fellah from the grove has asked you to find. I haven't looked ahead to see how or where he's at, but I'm pretty certain that might be the ONLY way to get that druid into your party. Now, your guess is as good as mine to really find where that boy would be. I could of sworn he would of been found when you went to that morgue. He has to be tucked somewhere, maybe even in the tower, since you discovered that he was captured and held captive. I also wanted to say just how amazing you are as a player. I love your Let's Play choices and I haven't missed a beat since the first episode. It's actually how I found you, because I believe BG3 is Game of The Decade. I have one question for you, as someone who may be familiar with Dungeons & Dragons tabletop rules: Do you feel as though if someone in your party failed a passive check (like when they failed to perceive a trap) by just one, yet your other party members are behind and you bring them there to do the check is a form of metagaming? I know it's in the mechanics, but every time a perception check failed and you use your other party members try to do it after the fact reminds me as metagaming. It was frowned upon and discouraged to do so during the DnD games I played in the past. Still an interesting game mechanic and it works.

You can be decked out with rings as early as level 2 if you buy the definitely not useless ones from the tiefling kids. One of them even grants infinite wishes.

@@tortureddesert3453 Yeah, he makes odd or contrary decisions throughout this series. It was a bit funny when he was giving the shadow priestess all the radiant equipment. You would almost think the game designers would have made her feel 'at home' or given her some sort of advantage(s) in the shadowed area. Instead, she's carrying around a glowing mace and casting light-effect spells. 😆

@@grondhero problem is the trickery cleric is probably the worst cleric subclass. At the end of the day it's still a game, so if the character is too weak or not fun to play, you respec into something more enjoyable.

Yeah as soon as I saw those Meenlocks I was yelling CAST DAYLIGHT AROUND YOUR PARTY NOW!! I know those little annoying bugs have Shadow teleport and you can't shadow teleport where there aren't any shadows. All in all though good run.

It feels like you’ve stopped showing interactions/conversations with the companions during long rests (with the exception being speaking to Wyll after the end of last episode). Did they just not have any meaningful dialogue?

I went a different route and did *spoilers* the Art Callagh/Thaniel quest in a Last Light Inn where Isobel wasn’t abducted. I was a little surprised to see WolfHeart just breeze by him. Anyone do it this way-by which I mean pursuing lifting the curse with a Last Light in ruins and/or after killing Ketheric?

You mentioned a lot about the characters and lore from the books. As someone new to this genre, what books should I start with for the forgotten realms.

Though it has nothing to do with Baldur´s Gate, the Drizzt books are great for getting into the setting of Forgotten Realms. (By R.A.Salvatore.) They´re a set of trilogies, each having a more-or-less self-contained story, while following a longer narrative overall. You can start in 2 places: The first one released, "Icewind Dale trilogy, book 1, the Crystal Shard" or, The prequel trilogy, "the Dark Elf trilogy, book 1, Homeland". (I believe they´ve been recently re-released as sets, each trilogy as a single book.) They follow the Drow Drizzt Do´Urden and his companions. The only connection to Baldur´s Gate is that he briefly appears in the previous games. (That I know of.) Or if you want to look at it a bit more from a game-y side of DnD, get the Player´s Handbook for mechanics, and the adventure module "Descent into Avernus" to learn more about the Tieflings from act 1 and the archdevil Zariel. Also the Avatar series, starting with the book "Shadowdale", that deal´s more with Mystra and the Dead Three (If I remember right), though not sure I´d recommend it as the first thing to read. (Not to be confused with the many other "avatar" series out there...) (I´m sure there are plenty more.)

There are so so many novels from the 2e and 3e eras before it all got whittled down to never ending Drizzt books, which have a strong focus on the far North and the Underdark and drow. The Avatar series covers the Time of Troubles which is when the gods Bane, Bhaal and Myrkul die, along with other gods dying or being elevated. There is also a Baldurs Gate trilogy that is based on the first 2 computer games. I’d also recommend books written by Elaine Cunningham. Google ‘Forgotten Realms novels list’, check the wiki page and any links for a reading order or best of.

Not to be picky but if you want to hit more often improving dexterity would have been a better choice than getting strength up. Just an observation that attack rolls seem to lean heavier on the side of successful dexterity rolls over strength rolls.
