Oh yes. I’m 15 years older than you, and it makes me so happy that being openly queer isn’t a “career limiting gesture” these days. These lasses are adorable, and they’re doing amazing things, and they don’t feel they need to hide and that’s so wonderful 🥰 A decade ago I was questioned at school for WHY I felt the need to let the students know I had a wife - students did not need to know their maths teacher was gay! But I got letters at the end of each school year from kids who felt validated by seeing a queer person just living an open life. And now I don’t get those letters - so now, finally, it’s *true* that the kids don’t need to “know that about” me lol.

I really have to say I picked shadow heart in my first playthrou as a permanent party member, just because of the voice. Normaly I find priests and paladins super boring in RPGs but there was something about the voice I wanted to know more. Also it's the sweetest thing that you two met at this game. As a professional voice actor for the past 10 years, my advice to people wanting to get into it would be to record a demo reel (this can be done at home now and still sound super professional) and send that out to different talent agencies so you can get represented. This is the best way to get jobs, especially ones that pay well!

Im scared to honestly. My friends say i should be a voice actor.. always doing impressions/ voices/ noises etc but its just the anxiety of it. I imagine myself being put on the spot in front of a crowd/ people staring at me. Same energy as being put on a stage with a spotlight.

@@MrShazaamable I totally get that. A really great way to get over the stage fright is to read aloud. I used to get a lot of practice in by volunteering at old folks' homes and reading to the residents! You could also just read aloud to friends. Also, I got into voice acting precisely because I struggle so much with stage fright. When it comes to voice acting, odds are you'll either record remotely (in the comfort of your own home) or be in a recording booth with 1-4 people (voice director, producers, etc).

13:30 yes I totally do this as well. I actually worry slightly that later in life I will get confused. Therefor I try to avoid it. The main time I actively use it is if I will be having a difficult conversation with someone. Then its good to try different routes to weed out the obvious bad ones I might have missed.

It's easier to get now that the world pretends it's not a problem anymore. I just had my second, even though I still live by pandemic rules - mask everywhere and try to stay safe, because my first infection with covid was absolutely horrible and affected me for months. But if the rest of the world doesn't care, avoiding it is getting harder and harder, especially if you need to use public transport and live in a big city. I know several people who have been infected 3 - 4 times already sadly.

That said I'm a biologist and specifically work with covid right now. People at work are still masked all the time, and we use our own tests to tests ourselves. Next step: Baldur's Gate, the movie series, done in Machinima and MoCap, which will be more successful than the Marvel movies. You two are such a cute couple. (Balanced fighter with a level each in Rogue and Bard.) Her bio is "Crude, violent, hypersexual, fond of strong drink, casual about property ownership, and most likely a very bad idea in the first place." To be fair to Ostara, Gale is handsome, has a silver tongue, is incredibly romantic, and was (apparently?) about to die horribly in the near future. What's a hypersexual bi girl gonna do in that situation? * Ostara's father was king of this postage-stamp Northern kingdom, and her mother was a tavern wench. So, technically a princess. Her half-brother who usurped the throne takes that relationship seriously enough that he has a price on her head. First of SO many bounties on that blonde ponytailed head. . .
