It has the potential to be the best RPG game ever been made, in a first time triple A crpg, the sheer amount of money that been put to it, the love, passion and dedication of almost 6 years in development, will truly be amazing to see how it all unravel on august 31st. I already have played 100 hours in early access and i have pretty much got my money's worth per time and enjoyment even though its only act 1, and unfinished one at that, so getting more of bg3 will be pretty much the icing on the cake with cherries on top and glazing chocolate all over it.

As good as city looks it was still the biggest disappointment. You can only visit Lower City. No Outer city, no Upper city. Only Wyrm's rock/Rivington and Lower city. When you approach the entrance to Upper city you are told how you are not ready so you expect to go there eventually but no, you never get to go to Upper city. And this is not just issue because I wanted to go to upper city, but it is obvious how initially you were able to visit it but the content was cut. Gortash sits in Wyrms rock, even after he was crowned as Archduke, Cazador's palace entrance makes no sense, you have to go through some random walls to go to its entrance, when you can see that it is part of Upper city. Ethel mentions farm North of BG which is Blackgate, and you never go there either .. these are just some examples. I hope we get access to cut content eventually. Make it DLC if needed but expand of ACT 3 cause it was weakest part by far.

Larian has not missed since Divinity OS1. They could have gone the CDPR route, but I feel like the way the develop games (by releasing alpha builds and early access builds for people to play and give feedback on), makes it so that when they do a full release, the game will always end up being GOOD albeit, the initial "HYPE" factor might not be as big as a surprise release.

That was beautiful. I haven't played Early Access, but I love when RPGs put heart and thought into their city designs. I know of too many modern examples from a large variety of studios where crowds exist for no other purpose except to fill space and can't be interacted with in any meaningful way. Divinity: Original Sin II did feel like it had a whole bunch of side plots going on in the various cities and settlements, which was welcome to see even if a lot of those plots didn't in turn lead to quests. I can think of too many RPGs where cities only lead me to ask three questions: * Where can I heal? (And in a lot of RPGs where healing is easy or automatic when out of combat, this is a moot point) * Where can I get new equipment or skills? (One thing I really liked about Divinity: Original Sin II is that there are so many ways to learn new skills beyond just buying them from merchants) * Where can I find new quests? I've known too many RPG cities where I've only wanted to get what I came for and get out, but what you all have made here really looks like something special.

This intense D&D feel with the ROLLING DICE + Bonus is extremely clever, addictive, fun! This adventure is already something without the Baldur's Gate open. I wasn't aware of anything before trying this game, rank #2 on Steam right now on the sale stats, full price and not even full release. Let me tell you this, this game is a lot of pleasure, a deep feeling of pleasure I didn't feel since Skyrim release in 2011. I mean come on, it does start the best way possible with a deep character creation that will matter, since the camera angle in the game is always in your face with every discussion, and also extremely fun to put the camera where ever I want while I'm playing. I'm hard to impressed, but I'm with those beautiful character, voice acting, lips sync, even emotion on the damn face of everyone and it looks very convincing! My God, forgetting time and not caring about other important stuff, that's how good this game is to me. If you are around 40 years old like me, this is a no brainer, buy this game, RIGHT NOW!

Oh g-d, plese no. MMORPGs are the worst kind of RPGs. The good RPGs work, agong other things, because you can see the impact of the world and be The Hero, even on the small scale. There is simply no way to achive that in a MMORPG. Not to mention, there already was an experiment in DnD MMORPGs, Neverwinted. And it wasnt very good. Co-op, on the other hand, may be quite good. Especially if you add ability to create mods and custom scenarios. Basically, you get an automatic GM and can have a full on adventure.

This is definitely the best year for gaming. I thought I was growing too old for games and thinking maybe it was just my nostalgia and child wonder that made games in the past so fun after getting bored fast by every new one these days. But this year there's been more games than I could put in my hand that have kicked that curse. I just started playing the EA and glad I did to get used to the combat and it got me even more hyped to eventually actually get to see Balders Gate in game. I thought it might not be my type game but I think I'll sink many hours into this. I already have. And I feel like it could even improve my dm skills getting to experience the stories and options in this form and apply it when I play d&d with my family. Sorry for the essay

As they're showing all these beauty shots of Baldurs Gate, I keep looking for the sights of Athkatla. (Stupid BG2! 🙃)

Larian's story itself is a big epic quest of a lil nobody halfling who turns into the choosen one with DOD2 and gain the burden of one of the most important IPs of the world. And you know what ? They succed and they even makes a statement so loud that the all videogame industry is listening rigth now what Larian Studios has to say.

Looks beautiful, can't wait to play. Looking at the vistas from the upper city, I low key want to parkour (AC style) through it, but it would be great if Rogues are good at it (high dex) and others with low dex are slow and higher chance of falling.

And now compare the professionalism of these people to the D4 vids. I always knew Larian was were it's at. They've never let me down.

I thought you could only hover from surface to surface with the Fly spell, not actually fly. Has this been fixed?

Can't wait to play Divinity 3. - haha, personally I would've stick to top view and stay true to the genre. (Like the advance graphics in Pillars of Eternity 2).

That's your complaint? Sheaths on greatswords don't make sense to begin with, especially if mounted on the back. Mounting anything on the back at all is pure nonsense.
