In more poorly lit areas you can swap out the Eversight ring for the Strange Conduit ring, activating the 1-4 Psychic damage by casting your 'Pass without a Trace' class action.

I am running Astarion as an open hand monk with high wisdom/strength/tavern brawler but your videos have inspired me to do a dark urge run dexterity based shadow monk. At level 5 now and it is really fun

I would love to know the answer to this question. Probably some combination of damage stacking from the Strange Conduit Ring (plus Resonance Stone), Drakethroat Glaive elemental weapon boost and lots and lots of critical hits EDIT: having reached this area, my second-best version of this build involves the Bonespike Gloves (which *ignore* resistance to Slashing, Bludgeoning and Piercing damage) and one of Orin's daggers (causes vulnerability to piercing damage with the first hit) On the other hand, you can get the armor without taking the dark side option anyway so why bother with second-best.

Hey, great video! One question: How can you shadow step with Gontr Mael equiped? I tried that but it does not work, and I assumed it is because the bow emitts light. How did you fix it? Also, where is this extra lightning and necrotic damage comming from? Thx!

Actually I discovered you can turn on and off the light in the passive window! The only question now is where the lightning and necrotic damage are caming from@@leonardoeneria3100

@@AndreGusela my gauntlets give me necrotic damage on melee weapon attacks, the electric damage comes from the drakethroat glaive spell that can enhance a weapon of your choosing with a specific elemental damage

I’ve been playing with this build for the last few days and am at the point where it’s basically complete. I was curious if you thought about using helm of Balduran instead of helmet of grit. You lose out on that extra BA but crits won’t be a problem anymore and you get a +1 to AC, STs, and you can’t be stunned. Might be a good addition to the build.

The point of this build is to never get hit (or rarely at least) and do as much damage as possible while remaining in stealth. Another +1 to AC and saving throws won't help much when wearing the Risky ring. And the chance of copping a Critical hit is very low considering you should rarely get hit at all. Unless you find yourself getting Stunned often, then a better idea would be to replace Bhaal's amulet with Fey Semblance amulet which gives advantage to Int, Wis and Cha saving throws. This along with the Cloak of Displacement will generally cancel out the negative effects of the Risky Ring.

@krieger7828 Yeah mate, it's all good. I've been trying to change it up a bit too. Studying his play strategy has helped the most. Knowing how many attacks I have left and the stealth/suprise mechanics have been a bit of a head scratcher sometimes though.

can you explain how you got to 20 DEX? Looks like you took alert and savage attacker for your two feats, not ASI. Is Hag's hair +1, mirror of loss +2?

How do you have 20 dex? You used alert and savage atacker for your 2 feats and you probably used aunti ethils boon to get to 18 but i dont see how you got 20.
