why's there none of the music that played during this scene?

Probably because I skipped the first phase against Thorm in the Colony by talking him down and that he could still repent by passing the persuasion checks at the top of Moonrise Towers and just before fighting him at the end of the Colony. Honestly I think it makes Myrkuls appearance all the more fitting for the God of Death.
