I am going to redesign this party build to be fully adapted to close range combat. With two wolves and the wildheart barbarian you can gain advantage on attacks near three different enemies: having the Mother archer there doesn't make use of that buff. But probably in most games having two wolf-hearted is enough because you can pull your other party members closer to them in two groups. That is, until you start playing with more summons and temporary allies.

I actually think a modified version of the first build would be really good for Minsc! I know he’s a “ranger” but what that means in 5e vs what it meant in Baldurs Gate 1 is very different. An oath of ancients paladin fits super well with his dedication to honesty, his bond with boo, and also Jaheira. And then of course barbarian levels as well, in berserker

This is kinda like my “Scare Shart” Comp. (Shadowheart is scared of wolves) so i have her running in the team as a light cleric. Tav/Moon Druid only uses Wolf wildshape. Wolfheart Karlach/Elk Aspect for more movement speed. Astarion as a Beast master with you guessed it!! Wolf Companion. it’s a super mobile/advantage heavy build that actually works quite well.

This was a cool video. Something I learned, unless this is changed in an update, boots of striding works while you are wildshaped. Making you immune to knocked prone. Something I wear on my moon druid along with Something like a corpus ring to have more things to concentrate on. :)

I did a "family" build a while back but it was a bit more... sinister. It was a dark urge party with the son as lead (Warlock/Oathbreaker), his mother, a wiz/druid necromancer, his murdered and reanimated father barb/monk, and the family dog, an enslaved moon druid.

Not me with 3 in ranger and 9 in moon druid 😁😁 proficiency from beginning in Heavy Armor ran the 2h Everburn blade through act 2. Tanking/melee/range/caster all in one build. So much fun!

I think it'd be cool to do something like this where the father and mother are pure druid and pure ranger while the kids are mix classes leaning one way or the other. Say the father is ranger, have the son be maybe 7-ranger 5-druid and have the daughter be 7-druid 5-ranger. Would kinda make sense as if the kids are gifted with both abilities but tend to lean into what the parent of their same gender does. Plus just imagine all those animals out on the field lol, both kids would be an animal while controlling another animal and one parent would control one while the other would be one. 6 on the field at any time at least though and it would just look awesome.

Love group/double builds! I do tend, once I sufficiently develop the backstory, to add some of the characters in it as actual possible party members. On second note, I want to add some compiled thoughts on the Nature themed Wild Magic Sorcerer build started on last stream, and more besides. 1. I wrote at the stream that the Magic comes from Fey. I should have specified that the Wild Magic subclass itself represents that, either Magic somehow seeped from the Faewild, or some Fey prank. So it's more of a story/RP thing than gameplay. I thought of, but dismissed the idea of Archfey Patron, as I didn't see that character as a Warlock, just "lucky" with Fey attention. 2. As that was my first character, I didn't really know what to choose, so picked a race I didn't play in other games (Half-Elf) and a class that seemed new and fun to me. Many RP elements came gradually through playing. So the race isn't set in stone. Although there might be some specific races to consider if not using Shillelagh+Quarterstaff (since in terms of weapons we would only get Morningstars (Flails?) from Cleric and nothing from Druid), but otherwise race features are minor and mostly for RP, as they should be imo, but I digress. 3. There was a proposal during the stream to do a "double" Wild Magic build (Sorcerer + Barbarian). I wouldn't mind seeing that, but there's of course the conflict between Rage and Casting. On a somewhat similar note, I've been thinking if a Wild Magic Barbarian could be put together with Valour Bard as some sort of partially support build, since Bardic Inspiration is class action. Either 7/5 (Barbarian/Bard) or 6/6 split, still starting Barbarian (latter could probably work a bit better if STR isn't used, so we won't need extra initiative that much). But I'm not sure if there's enough to make it work. Let it be another build request). Thank you for your vids and for making this long read!

@@purydango I wrote first about a build that was started on the stream, which is 6/6 WM Sorcerer + Nature Cleric. Druid could also work, but we ended up choosing Cleric. WM Barbarian + Sorcerer was from the comment on that stream, and it's a separate thing, same as WM Barbarian + Valour Bard.

Well those are really nice combinations. If you use the wolf, you can hit an enemy, and get guaranteed crit next attack, with exposing bite. That with an paladin half orc, smiting the shit out of something, is a nice main enemy burst disposal. In honour mode, we might need buffs to grant some hit chance though.

I like five levels of beast master for the raven, which has proficiency in perception and see invisibility with an elixir. You can ignore those yourself, and not get sketchy surgeries from anyone for see invisibility plus pass without a trace as a spell.

I'm trying a werebeast build (wolf). I'm thinking mainly moon druid with a few barbarian levels for the rage dialogues. I roleplay that the rage comes from the beast within. Lastly, I was gonna add a level of Sélune cleric for good align dialogues too. I roleplay that this is a good character struggling with a curse she didn't ask for. Feel free to create a build with idea if you like. Maybe recommend gear options.😊😊

Awesome family! I just wanted to clarify on the main build. You have in the write up barb 3/pally 9 but in the video it's barb 4/pally 8. You also mention a third feat so I assume the video itself is correct. Level 9 pally is more spell slots tho so maybe it's a pick your fave situation? Not sure if a feat or higher spell slots are more optimal.

I have an idea for something that could be fun? Duelist Perogative Tank build? Valor Bard for fun, Medium armor with max Dex and Defensive Duelist feat with the weapon giving you that extra reaction without a shield.

I've been trying to make a ranger beastmaster with wildheart barbarian, but I just can't find the right path with like aspect of the wolf and a wolf with you, etc. If you could do a video or give me some advice, that would be cool cheers

The problem with multiclassing Beastmaster is that every level you take away from it makes your animal companion much weaker, especially since they don't get extra attack until level 11. I would say that you need to take the lowest amount of Barb levels possible. 3 Barb/9 Ranger

@@BayouBaldwin a build idea I've been toying around with is a Elk Barbarian mixed with Beastmaster but it uses the Boar companion. They can both use rage and charge at people.

Can you please help me I am having trouble with a build in the game there’s a gear set that works when you are drunk so I tried to make a drunken master build which was 6 wild heart barbarian and 6 open hand monk but the problem I am having is the weapon is a 2 handed one I want to use tavern brawler and to make the weapon a 1 handed weapon I’ll need to use the dual wielder feat which means I can’t get any ability score improvements can you please make any suggestions

Use Ethels Boon and the Potion of Everlasting Vigour to get +3 STR without an ASI. If you start with 17 STR, that gives you 20. With that, you now have a free feat to use for whatever without too much loss.
