Baldur's Gate 3 - Voiced Protagonist - Dark Urge Paladin ponders her Oath (Remixed)

This is a clip from my Voiced Protagonist video series. I originally missed this scene in my playthrough as you have to sleep almost immediately when you arrive on the beach to see it. I have re-recorded it and will splice it into episode 3 instead. I remixed the music as well to add more emotional effect as the original scene was rather plain in the music department. *Rather than speak / describe the lines written here, I improvised several new lines instead for more dramatic effect. I took the written tenets of the Oath of the Ancients and had her recite them, in an attempt to show she is fighting the Dark Urge by grasping to the tenets of her Oath. I felt it had more impact as a Paladin than merely having her speak the line as it was originally written.*

I liked the echos of your thoughts. Reciting the lines in your head with out speaking them was a really cool, great effects.

Great job. It really comes across how Evelyn is fighting the urges and how important her oath is to her.

This nightmare is so easy to miss, but so worth it. It also justifies each race or class choice for the Dark Urge by providing specific lines for them which is especially interesting for Paladins, Clerics and Monks. So it is something you once believed in... and now believe in again. And intend to follow... or not. I am always interested to see what the characters of other people think at this moment. Same with some other points in the game, sometimes minor stuff many overlook. (Side note: If you have played BG1 and 2 the journal entry you get after this also is of particular interest. Your character won't know any of this, of course...)

Thanks 🙂I also originally missed this scene, it so easy to miss if you don't sleep immediately after landing on the beach (dumb decisioj by the devs, honestly). Had to start a new game and record it for my current video series.

Did you voiced those lines yourself! Wow! Any chance there’s a mod that can add these voice lines into my game?

I provided the VO. There are no voice-over mods that I know of for the game.. I'm just providing my own voice recordings for it and inserting it into the video.
