Im sure Geoff was thinking " yeah, yeah I wish this random would get off the stage, I have brewskis to pound with Kojima and sponsers to collect from.". I just think this was done so poorly this year.

TOTK was what I thought should've been GOTY, but after playing BG3 for a bit, I sorta understand why it won. There's so much content, you can customize your character like crazy, the graphics are pretty good, voice acting is done really well, and the story is dynamic. Every choice you make affects the story. I think that's where TOTK lacks. You can go anywhere, but it doesn't affect the story. I think that's the next evolution in the LOZ series: a dynamic story.

The pre show went over 2 mins, Anthony Mackie was wasting time talking to the fans, all the speeches felt rushed. It sucks cuz this year they had 3 hours compared to last year which was 2h30 mins. Just poor organization and planning led to the short speeches. You would think in rehearsal they timed everything right but I guess they didn’t

Mario is good, but nowhere near as good as the other 3D Mario's (both Galaxy's and Odyssey). I think the next 3D mario game will be a real contender for GOTY.
