I think these videos are always worth it. Hell, in ten years some kid that's around five will probably get BG3 on a sale and say something like "Oh yeah, my dad loved this game back in the day." and try it out. Then he'll proceed to see your videos on it. Consider your videos an archive. .....I could just be talking out of my arse, but still... XD

@@MunuM77 With Dhourn encounter? Yep, a female drow can demand more respect, due to being a woman, which does change his attitude quite a lot. I think simply being drow opened this whole conversation tree, and there were quite a lot of options to deal with him. Not sure if male drow have the same opportunity, but probably not.

Unfortunately, he won’t trade with you if you do that. You’ll have to pickpocket if you want the staff, but you won’t get any other gear.

I was in love with Underdark when I first entered it in the game, I thought it was beautiful with all the glowing crystals. I love all the enemies and foes to fight! Once again another amazing video Wolf! ❤

I hope they'll do more with the Drow in the future. This is already very intriguing. The Underdark section in BG II was neat, but very linear and didn't feel like an organic part of the adventure because of it (the whole purpose of it was to escape it).

OK. I will say is this is one of my favourite videos ever. I always loved your lore videos, but now you have combined that with actual BG3 quests and lore for an amazing combination. Just discovered these three on my last playthrough. I knocked them out during the combat then finished the spectator off. A quick healing words worked to resuscitate them.

@2:00 its Selûne (Not "Seluna"), she's also a bit of a odd one while being the sister of shar, her portfolio didn't actually have much related to the moon it self (more so Twilight). Eilistraee on the other hand did. Though WOTC made a lot of non-sense changes to the pantheons to make it fit the garbage that was 4E.

You did a wonderful job letting us know about the different locations and such. I never associated the dead Drow in the Myconid colony with the other 2 Drow who went looking for the Grymforge. Also, I did not pick up on the weaknesses of the construct until this video. I always use a lot of force to down the construct and at some point the construct stops taking damage at all and so I have to reload and start again. In many ways, it is more frustrating than the Githyanki patrol because the orcs don't get burned up by magma when they help you take out the Githyanki so I can't use the orcs to help me with the construct. I will definitely use these videos for when playing the game again.

When you consider how much of BG3 is like a series of puzzles, you have to give major, hardcore props to Larian for giving exactly zero fornications about catering to the masses by making those puzzles easy. So much in this game is brazenly difficult to figure out. In this age of making sure every mainstream piece of entertainment is accessible to the lowest common denominator, Lariat actually stuck with the vision. Such a breath of fresh air.

Hey Enzevil! The drow were actually not working for several patches. I think it was intentional as Larian was still working on Grymforge. I remember when one of the drow was Commander Mazri.. not sure where she went haha

ahh i did met them :-) its nice to take a stroll into the underdark, it basically connects all areas, if you are able to find the ways ♥️♥️ That moonstone helped me kill the minotaurs ...better than entering frim the cave ,or the hags area...i guess. I did of course craft a hammer because of the damage type...

I didn't find the petrified drow encounter until after I had been to the forge. Talking with the (alive) leader goes a little different then: Drow: someone might have beaten me to thw forge. PC: well I kinda beat you to it.... Drow: goddammit! 🤬 Roll initiative 😅

you can just trick him into giving it to you if you use disguise self and specifically turn into a female drow, it was so funny when I did it and I got a shadowheart inspiration point

I had a better encounter with Dhourn after defeating the spectator. My rogue arcane trickster used disguise self to appear as a female Drow. This opened more dialogue options including deceiving Dhourn into surrendering the memory shard and leaving peacefully. I thought my Charlatan background would earn an inspiration point for this but it did not.

Huh, the first time I played, it was not possible to speak with the unpetrified Drow, even after I killed the Spectator. Either they updated that scene a lot or I did something wrong. I was playing a Lolth-sworn Drow, so I was hoping they would interact with me once they were no longer controlled. EDIT: ah, clearly a big update! Nice, makes it more exciting to play later the released version.

I enjoy these Balders Gate lore videos. I never played table top D&D just the computer games so my knowledge of the world isn't deep. Since Harbs isn't doing Balders Gate any longer I'd love to see you take up title of Balder's Gate Lore Master and continue to fill out the world for us. Do you have any information on the Arcane Tower in the Underdark? I think it would be interesting to know its story. It seems few things in BG3 are random and most thing are connected to the D&D canon.

I actually played a drow when I met them, didn't kill the wizard and actually wanted to be cooperative with him since I was also looking to finish the masterwork forge quest so I thought he was somehow connected. The useless fool failed to see reason and saw me as competition instead, so I swiftly made his petrification into rigor mortis instead. What a loser honestly 🙄

Since the drow are matriarchal, try talking to Dhourn with a female drow or use disguise self to be a female drow. You get different options
