I got really greedy with this set. I was already intending to pick up a brick and also got a second brick from a friend for house sitting. They did fantastic with it this go around. I've got to say it's one of the best overall paint jobs I've seen on their pre-painted. I noticed a lot of detail work with the faces and the eyes, particularly on the human and NPC miniatures. But definitely, if you like fiends from lower planes this is the set! Thanks for showing us your pulls!

My group is planning on running Descent Into Avernus, so I might pick up some of these boosters... They're right on the edge of my sweet spot for value, but I could never justify the other lines without playing the adventures they were applicable to.

I am betting the Pit Fiend mini is really easy to pick out if you can feel the weight of the booster.

A pretty cool set for those who don’t have enough devil/demon minis. I already have the devils from the 3.5 mini product line, so I’m more so only interested in the PC humanoid minis like Fisk , Reya, the halfling and Rakhasa. I wouldn’t be disappointed If I did pull the legion pit fiend all the same. The spined devils would be nice as well. I must say though that the legion bone devil looks great in person!

It's not a set of miniatures I would consider purchasing if I had the money. Good video, thanks for the review.

I pulled Zairiel from my brick, and I know I should be happy cause she’s such an important character in Avernus, and I THINK she’s the highest valued miniature from this set, but I’m looking at the legion bone devil, or that pit fiend, with such jealousy. Also the nightmare is amazing if you can get the other rare that goes with him. The Hezrou and Barlgura are pretty cool. I know nothin about Avernus, or demons and devils, but I’m totally gonna have my party fight two of the itty bitty little quasits, only to have them turn into Hezrou and Barlgura. They go together so nicely.

Lots of cool minis in this set, it's nice to get some variants of stuff we already have. I think I might be the only one who was hoping the bar-lgura would be a regular bar-lgura as they've only ever made one, it was a rare, has been out of print for years and goes for around 45 bucks + on the secondary market. For the kind of demon you really want to have multiples of I don't understand why they did it that way. It's cool that Yeenoghu has his own variant but I hope we see a regular bar-lgura very soon. I feel similar about the hezrou but at least we've had a few of those over the years. I will say the Yeenoghu hezrou looks REALLY cool. I also don't know why Falaster Fisk was made a common for this set - way too many of him showing up. On the positive side it's awesome to FINALLY get an abishai mini - that's a first for pre-painted D&D / Pathfinder minis as far as I know. Same with the narzugon, nuperribo, armanite and the bulezau. It's also great to have another lemure option and to finally get another chain devil, which I agree looks fantastic. I also love the bone devil and the horned devil; they make nice alternatives to the pathfinder ones if you want some variety. They also included an uncommon glabrezu in this set - AWESOME! For years the only options have been rares that are also 45+ on secondary markets. I hope they'll take the same approach with the bar-lgura in a future release. I tend to use a lot of fiends at higher level play in my games so overall I think this is a great set, one of the best in a while. Thank you for the in-depth look!

I’m 99 percent certain that if you buy a brick of these, you get all but one (two if you count both forms of the Almarite) of the uncommon larges. You get two medium sized rares, and one large rare (either bone fiend, pit fiend, nightmare, or zariel). Can anyone confirm or deny or deny this?
@TheGallantGoblin5 жыл бұрын
You are generally correct. We buy cases for our channel reviews to show all the sculpts so we have counts from 4 bricks for each set. All the Avernus bricks gave 7 unique uncommon larges and 1 rare large. In theory you shouldn't ever get both the A and B variants in the same brick either. This also held true for Dungeon of the Mad Mage. Some sets don't have more than 7 uncommon larges, though, and that's where the assumption can fall apart--it was possible to get duplicate larges in a brick of Guildmasters' Guide to Ravnica.

find a new adjective. demons and devils are lots of things but "lovely" is not one that comes to mind.
