This game is an example that it's not nostalgia that makes us miss good games, it's that these games are in fact GOOD games. The OST is clearly composed with intent of providing atmosphere and emotion. It had a direction. They knew what they wanted with this game.

The feels of this tracks… it touches my soul to the core. Nostalgic, hope, sadness, love… it covers it all. Also sweet scene in the background like, your companions awaiting you patiently at camp wanting to be part of your adventures. Knowing you come back and they stand by you. Love the fact that all of them would have never been friends without that tadpod. Also can say how different we all can be and uniting for a common cause its what the world needs to learn from this to be more united.

This game was and still is truly historic and it blows my mind that more studios in the industry dont want to take notice of just how good this game is and the example that it sets. If the publishers are hands off, if the devs are allowed to make the game they envision and dont push for monetization for EVERYTHING, if the devs are given a reasonable amount of time and take in player feedback that is constructive, games like this wouldnt be "An anomaly" like the other studios want us to believe. This is what games used to be like, a complete game on release, what we paid for. Larian right now, has my money with whatever they do next. This was a game made with love for the players by a great studio.

People talk about the whole nostalgia thing being present even though the game came out recently. I think it is more to do with the fact that we create and play our own character for the game. This is OUR character and OUR story where we make OUR own decisions that impact us all in different ways depending on our character and choices in the past. It is very rare or even impossible for someone to have played this game and to have had the exact same outcomes as you throughout. It very much become OUR own story that was unique to each of us differently.
