Terribly disappointing venue.... last few were poorly planned, beauty is one thing but if a model can’t walk in it then you must realize there’s an issue. The majority of the gowns were relatively disappointing for such a high fashion brand like balenciaga and the ending was just a pity for that poor model who will be so embarrassed even though she was essentially framed

this venue was in cristobal balenciaga original couture showroom. it’s old and small bc it hasn’t had a show before last year since he passed which was years ago. demna wanted to pay omage to demna bc balenciaga was originally a couture brand. and this is the only 2nd couture show since like 1960 something. notice how balenciaga is known for ready to wear and streetwear inspired. this is really good for a designer that is mostly known for that.

The models don't care what they're wearing. They'd probably walk out there naked with one of those daft punk looking face shields for the price they are fetching at this show. Good for them too, for having to put up with the abuse they must endure.

I actually like it. Not all fashion is made to be “wearable”, think of them as sculptures or art pieces that stand on their own. It’s the artistic expression of the designer; doesn’t always have to be conventionally ‘pretty.’ It’s edgy/futuristic/avant-garde as someone mentioned. It feels like a fashion show taking place in the Capitol of Panem (from the Hunger Games).

It seems like they wanted to “remove” the model off the runway and leave room solely for the clothes, which I think is a great idea. I do find the entire vibe very sad and boring… several pieces were breathtaking and I loved the emphasis on shoulders for the first pieces. The high-neck coats give off a Cruella Devil vibe!

the models did an amazing job the celebrities not so much. the years of experience on naomi and most of the older models are showing beautifully and honestly putting kim and nicole after bella made them feel that much more out of place. the last model tho deserves so much credit because to walk in a dress which is obv not made to be walkable for this model would mess me up but she kept her cool and finished gracefully.

You don't get it, it's all intentional, Balenciaga during Demna's direction has a history of displaying a studied nonchalance, including the soundtracks. And you're all here watching engaging with a brand that was completely dead before he came.
