Mad respect for the woman who closed the show, idk if it was the shoes she was wearing or if she was stepping on the dress but she kept going and loved it

She had no choice but had to finish her walk 🤷🏻♀️

Yes I felt she showed impressive stamina, just keep going and focus. However, she did seem to find a way to "ease the pain", by kicking the dress every now and then and it pushed it away from her shoes (it seemed, although you can't really tell because the dress is over her feet). Great show though, I still adore the black, it's matt, then a slight gloss (silk) and the cinching (is that how its spelt) at the waist - incredible silhouettes !

It’s called exaggeration. A common device used in art. To emphasize a certain feature. And it doesn’t matter to any of us normal ppl cus the dress wasn’t made to be worn by the average consumer. It’s art. If you’re looking to find a realistic wedding dress, you can go to Nordstrom or David’s bridal

I'm still shocked by the lack of thoughtfulness of the room and the size of the latest dresses. And also still in shock from celebrity-models. Crary collection.
@oliviaw.28422 жыл бұрын
Agreed! Aesthetically, the setting itself was lovely with the creamy, non-sterile whites and romantic details. I also liked the fact that so many people could be close to the garments. But functionally... the room was not ideal. Especially for those last few dresses (otherwise it would have been fine). I do prefer a runway that allows for more viewing time, though. With this one the models appeared, then turned two corners and disappeared. The attendees only got a few seconds to see the clothes since the rooms are compartmentalized. It was fine for us on camera though! The models did a wonderful job. Especially the last few who clearly were working through difficult constraints. Naomi is the only one who could have pulled off that black dress (she wore IT, it didn't wear HER) and I would have loved to see how she would have navigated the wedding dress. I'm also in love with this new trend of using older models for runways... the latest Ralph Lauren show is an excellent example. Let's keep that going! And while we're here. @@Champagnepapi252 a model can struggle on a runway for multiple reasons without having anything to do with touching a dress. This was horrifying. The models look like nightmares in a horror movie. Mad props to the poor woman in that unwalkable wedding dress. This may have been the most emperor’s new clothes fashion show I’ve ever seen. If the designer’s intent was to make their clothes and models look as tragic and unappealing as possible, mission accomplished. Ms. K and Dua Lipa looked good and of course Naomi rose above that ridiculous blackbird bell of a dress, but. I mean. Outré, even for haute couture.

Well, they got the diversity on the models wich everyone apreciates. But the rest, a total disaster, lets be honest, the clothes were boring and he tried too hard to be avant garde, cool, ironic and all that crap. For example, the Naomi dress, she literally looked like a giant trash bag, the whole thing is ridiculous and almost childish. The big dresses were not fit for the location and the poor models looked terrible trying to get through. Just bad.

No. he’s actually critiquing n mocking the idolization of celebrities by putting them in the show, and provoking a certain emotion to the audience. And it worked cause look at everyone mad about it. Demna (just like balenciaga was) is a futurist. They’re mission was to move the fashion conversation forward. His work is a critique on our society. And doing this helps move the conversation forward by forcing people to really react and analyze the issues he’s putting forth. If you look at his past collections, he’s been doing this. The Wall Street show, the show with the deepfaked models, the show w people dressed as politicians. Demnas work is real art that forces the audience to face the reality we are headed towards until we decide to make drastic changes in the world.

But how horrible... It is initiation to anorexia... This should be prohibited by fashion, skeletal moles.... It has made me very sad to see that some are still anchored in another century.... TERRIBLE.
