I drove that beauty for 15 years.. 2006-2021. It was surely a beautiful beast.. Adjustable steering, electronic ovrm, climate control, 5 (yes 5) alloys, 1600 Cc! 52 ltr tank, Under 7.5 lacs!

Oh that rear end!!! I have been seeing that for 14 years right from the day I have her. She may be an ugly duckling but she is an absolute darling. 87000km... countless number of trips between Bangalore and Kollam, the most recent one last month and not once I felt I am driving the wrong car. She's for the keeps. Thats for sure.

In highways what mileage you can expect

@@zubairsyed23 If you keep a light foot and cruise at 120 kph between 2500 - 3000 RPM with the AC on, a well looked after Baleno should give you between 16 - 18 kmpl.

@@jks60 Mine was probably the last of the lot. Manufactured in October 2006, bought by me on December 29th. 2006, registered in Kerala on January 2007 and it still is the only car I own. It is a VXi. It runs flawlessly, everything works and never disappoints whenever she's on the highway.

Yes it was. There was a lot of potential with this car's chassis. Unfortunately, the Suzuki designers who designed the front end and the rear end were poles apart.

Hi Petrobug....thats one hell of an honest review ... I infact got the same spec Baleno too (same color too but mine's the Lxi) .. quite a few things to note from this review 1. Youve made changes to the Steering wheel and i quite like that but i think the OG stock wheel provided by Suzuki (since alot of parts in the Baleno are infact "Made in Japan") 2. Is that your cars silencers taken off and youve fitted in a New filter to give it that kinda sound? 3. What do you suggest would be the right engine oil? and Brake oil ? /brandwise 4. I Have been experiencing starting problems with the car completely dead and then kickstart required . i got a new battery fitted a while back.. what do you suggest? Lastly .. the rear design thing is actually true.. though the cars a beauty with speed levels and consistency and handling etc... the Rear is kinda screwed... what changes do you suggest to make it look not stupid as it looks now
