BALI 4.6 Catamaran, TEARING UP THE RULE-BOOK

Very nice but if I were to go for a cat I would probably go for the Windelo for various reasons. 1. Electric engines (less maintenance than diesel, less space, shaft drive). 2. Eco friendly (made largely out of recycled plastic). 3. Front fully protected double helm for passages with access to forward deck and connected to saloon. 4. Wicked fast. If they have one showing I would be curious to hear what you think.

We had a quick look at a Windelo earlier this year after delivering a Lagoon 51 to the south of France, interesting cats.

Possibly at the Cannes boat show in a few weeks, but defiantly at the International Multiy hull show early next year. I have had a brief look at one, so I look forward to walking around or doing a sea trial. We will see what the future brings.

Wir wollten uns eine Bali 4.8 kaufen, dann haben wir sie eine Woche gechartert. Und was soll ich sagen sie ist qualitativ so schlecht, dass wir uns dagegen entschieden haben. Es war eine zwei Jahre alte Bali 4.8 die so kaputt war, dass wir uns einfach dagegen entschieden haben und einhand Segeln auch ganz schwierig.

Danke für den Hinweis. Nach allem, was ich gelesen habe sind wohl gebrauchte Outremer die günstigsten qualitativ guten Katamarane.

I am in the process of choosing between Bali 4.6 and the lagoon 46. The options on the Bali are unheard of in Lagoon catamarans except in the lagoon 60 and up, however I am concerned about the sail plan and the quality control.
