You’re not dead until you’re dead. And as far as I can see you’re very much alive 💪🏼 I can relate to the busybody homestay vibe. I’m super introverted and as much as I liked my various Balinese homestay families, I realized I need to be in a private living situation. I recharge on my own, without people all up in my grill (as we say in the US) asking me where I’m going, what I’m doing, where I’ve been. Hi Warren, Thanks for sharing with us , it is terrific to see you on line again even though you’re not feeling too good - that just shows the stuff you are made of. You have provided a lot of good advice and views on the Bali that we all know and love and kept us up to date on what was happening during COVID-19, the work that you have done in the charity arena is truly wonderful- it’s great to see an Aussie expat showing our true heart. I believe that this blog was probably very difficult for you but I reckon that your many loyal subscribers like me would feel gladdened just to see you again after the long absence. The adjective “dogged” is used to describe someone who never gives up even when exhausted. This is not a coincidence. There have been amazing stories of dogs continuing to work well past the point of exhaustion. The dog totem can symbolize this kind of persistence. If it comes into your life during a difficult time, it can be a sign to continue on no matter what. Blessings

Yeah I have no issue discussing such things. When I was diagnosed with depression it was back in 1985 or so? We were seen as weak losers who needed to get a life. Now they are sort of dividing up mental illness into all sorts of categories and surprisingly enough, they are getting it somewhat right. The treatment however they are getting very, very wrong.

Waz, can’t tell you how uplifting it is to hear your voice, although we don’t want you wasting your energy on us..! We missed you, some of us feared the worst and here you are, putting your rock solid candor into every word as always. Intervention would really only be another operation and then chemo and radiation. Not exactly a great quality of life. Sure there is pain now but to go by doctors orders and bring on agony and misery? Not sure that would suit me for the chance of what? An extra 12 months at life? I'm fine with my decision and now that I have pain killers, even finer. I hear you, I get you but then, life is what you make it. I may have chosen this tricky bohemian path but then, that's what I have always done. I suffer my consequences and fell more at ease with my choices day by day. Hey Waz So good to see you again. I was wondering how you were. So here I see the bloke I met at Lemongrass in Legian one Balmy night a few years ago when you were struggling as Global Lifestyle ( I think that was the original). I reckon I was the first subscriber you had bumped into. You had a shocking head cold but were so willing to sit and chat to my wife and I. At that stage you were struggling with the whole You tube thing and wondering it was worth pursuing. Believe me, it was. The enjoyment we get from your vlogs is incredible. You had about 40 subscribers at that stage and I was encouraging you to keep at it. Ironically we spoke about the “Urgency of life” as that is how I was feeling after the death of my Mother to early onset dementia. I guess when I saw you reveal your cancer diagnosis, the conversation about urgency of life hit home again. I have witnessed you cram in as much living as you can every day. I hope that you can find some help and relief from your Illness and continue doing what you do. Take care Waz. Drag yourself out of that bed and grab the camera and don’t be to stubborn to seek help! PS I told my son I met a rock star in Bali and showed him some video of a scrawny drummer in a band called the Machinations. What to Say Rick. Where to begin. I do remember that bloke (me) and I was pushing shyte uphill big time. To 'bump into someone' (two people) that you can actually find common ground with is more than just random. It seems it made you think and certainly inspired me. I have never been ego driven with YT as I had my day at fame. It was always about people like yourself to hopefully inspire many things. I do sneak in some messages in my Vlogs and it's amazing to hear that they permeate. To watch you walk off looking back and at that moment see you had paid the bill? Priceless.
