Amazing commentary. So detailed. As a solo female traveler who is not confident and has never been to Sanur, I’m specifically looking for a small, clean safe place to stay. Also, somewhere with good warungs within a very short distance, so I’m not walking distances by myself or being pestered by street sellers. I like that you included distances.

Sindhu area of sanur is good if you want to be close to many warung options.

We have eaten here often and it was always delicious! nice to look at the bungalows now, but I'm shocked at what it looks like there, dirty toilets yuck and sinks could use replacing, the cupboards inside need a cleaning, no, not recommended. nice to see the area, thank you

Enjoyed your walk around that area Gary, It looks like a nice enough area. I have only stayed central and northern previously. Love Sindhu beach area, Jimmys, Shotgun Social, Sports Bar etc. staying north, south and central this time around. Keep em coming.

Jalan merta sari where Gardenia guesthouse is located is a very quiet location, Jalan sudamala & Jalan cemara are 2 nice streets to find a good collection of restaurants, warungs & shops.

​Hi Gary, never was brave enough to drive motorcycle, hired drivers or rode the bus, great way 2 travel in comfort, not the fastest, used them numerous times to travel Indonesia, esp 2 Ubud, Kuta, Sanur & Komodo. Perama has been in business 40 years. Cost 50idr/$3usd. Thanks 4 all your work!@@balibygary9718
