Bali to West Sumbawa travel vlog

Join me and my mate Julian, as we travel from our hotel near Uluwatu in Bali, to Maluk in West Sumbawa.
Departing from our hotel, we head to DPS domestic airport for our 9:30 flight. Arriving in Maluk in West Sumbawa by 5:30
There are several ways to reach this location, we opted for the fastest, which included getting the public ferry from Kayangan to Poto Tano, then getting a 2 hour taxi down to Maluk. There is a fast boat from Kayangan to the Benete Harbour just north of Maluk, but this would see us arrive at 7 as the fast boat didnt depart until 4:30, and sunset Bintangs were of the highest importance for that day!

Cheers Dan! The whole West Sumbawa region has some great waves, get out and explore, you'll find them 😉 Lombok is a bit more limited mainly to desert point and the strip between Kuta and Gerupuk, tho I hear there's a few spots in Mangsit which I'm checking out next month.

@@danb8877 hit up the crew at your accom, they'll normally be able to hook you up with a Vario for around 80k per day for short term hire, you'll def need it for South coast Lombok and Sumbawa. But on this vid, we got a taxi for the Lombok Airport to Kayagan port transfer, and then another taxi after that ferry to our accom at Supers, if you need to cart all your gear it's best to go a taxi mate, much easier.

Can't recall exactly what airline we used, but there's several flights per day from Bali to Lombok, there are flights to Sumbawa but its a really long drive to Maluk after, so we opted to go via Lombok with a crossing on the public ferry to west sumbawa. I haven't researched this trip since, so things might have changed post plandemic. Thanks for watching! Keep that stoke alive my friend! 😁
