I live entire my life in Garlic Lane, This is true. Everycorner are shutdown at the moment. scams, rip off are true and it can happens anywhere in Tourism Industry. As origin citizen, we tried our best to report crimes and scams happened around our neighbourhood. mostly criminals came from outside bali. I believe after pandemic ends, It will restore rapidly. It's just about the time Thanks for sharing. Stay healthy

Agree, we Local are rely on the tourism scam are Just a by Product of tourism that attract scammer to Come. And its True most of the scammer are not Local. Nowadays Kuta is full of People not from Kuta or from Bali. And name their self local and scam Tourist. We tried our Best to repot them, give the right suggestion to Tourist on how to avoid them. Hopefully after the pandemic every thing restored as the Way they were except the scammer.

Pleasure to sit back and watch you wander around Bali. So many places I see and reminisce about. Too early for a beer here (I guess....) but would be great to sit back with a few beers and watch you go on through the video! Usually stay around Legian, near Garlic Lane, many a night at Billys, Sheppys, Teds and Drink Drink Drink. I could go on. Great little area. Koko does a wonderful coffee! They will need our help when they eventually open to the masses again!

When you DON'T get lost would be the time for concern...Besides, it's part of the fun! I'm feeling a bit nostalgic with that excursion down familiar lanes and gangs from a couple of years ago and even a familiar face. Don't worry about the mumbling, because, funnily enough, you always seem to deliver with a sense of style and reserved panache. As she left us last week, I decided to dust off a couple of my Vera Lynn albums for a listen. I've always loved her voice. The Greatest Generation produced some amazing music. Take care. jtk

We're focusing on the tools & training of the health protocol standard of procedure to ensure guest stay safe & comfort. You'll see this procedure is being applied in all hotels & resto in Bali now. Hey Wazza, I left Bali midway through my holiday end of March, it was a ghost town on my last three days, I felt very unsafe walking alone though the streets. I’ve travelled there every six months alone the past couple of years and I described it to my friends back in Oz as EERIE! Not sure I’d venture there again for at least another year or two. Thanks for sharing and stay safe. I’ve a few friends living there in Canggu, life is very different for them now. I really feel for the locals. 🙏🌈🇦🇺

This is how it used to be back in 1992. Pretty much that quite with less vendors. I was around 10 and my Dad took me around Kuta and Legian with a 1962 Mercedes belongs to one of his best buddy there. That was the first time I fell in love with Bali.
