Ha! Yes, one of my pet peeves. I suppose, however, if hay was raining down from the heavens, we'd be bailing it out of the basement. Keith-

So cloudy when you started. Always fun to heading into the hay field when it's looking like rain. You got it though!👍

It actually was showering a bit when we began but the skies brightened as we progressed.

Nice to see your videos back and father and sons working so well together. Harvest time is always strenuous trying to compete with the weather but the crop looked good.

How long until you can feed the wrapped bales?
@KeithFinkFamilyFarm2 жыл бұрын
Realistically, they can be fed right away. The microbial activity that completes the fermentation process is usually completed in two weeks time.

How is the LT15 working out? I'm looking to mill oak/maple up to 18"-20".
@KeithFinkFamilyFarm2 жыл бұрын
The mill is working well. Wilson and I spent the day yesterday in the hot sun milling oak and walnut logs for a friend. Keith-

what model baler is that? Do you have problems feeding it at that high moisture? Or does Sudan feed easier than other forages?
@KeithFinkFamilyFarm6 ай бұрын
Gehl 1475 is the model. Regarding feeding, if you are referring to how it feeds into the baler, high-moisture crops actually feed more easily than dry crops.

The baler is a Gehl 1475. No trouble feeding at high moisture. In fact, high moisture crops feed easier than dry.
