Is that baler a little small for that tractor? Which is why it is bogging when the plunger is under a lot of load.

Jeb Budde from union city, Greenville area. Haven’t been up near fort Laramie. Probably somebody else’s outfit. There’s a lot of big balers up in that area.

Whats the Reason for the stubble being that long? The straw barely fits underneath the tractor, hence the back of it is full of straw, which often can cause a fire.

Frank Schenke Better canopy for the soybeans to grow and keep the weeds down to a minimum.

It's also nice to keep the straw up on top of the stubble as it makes it easier to pick all the straw up with the baler; double crop beans wont grow if theres a bunch of straw left on the ground

I believe it helps hold moisture after seeding the soybeans

I never thought wheat straw had much in terms of feed value like what maybe Oats would. I wouldn't bale the straw anyway if doing no-til. But then if someone were paying a good $ amount for the baling then I might think a little different.

John McCall straw isn’t good feed. That’s why it’s cheap. It’s used for bedding mainly.

Want is the tank on the back of the baler for?
@tking26

It for our Cropsaver. It’s a hay preservative for if guys want us to bale their hay on the wetter side. It will help keep it from molding then if applied while baling.

Bullshit you guys were flipping out when it hit mid 20's just over a week ago and we are talking temps here that are higher then have ever been seen in all of Scotland! I would seriously love to see what would happen if Scotland ever hit the forties I'm reasonably sure you would all burst into flames! LOL
