Baling with a John Deere 420

The first time we went to bale there were several breakdowns including the tractor overheating due to a slipping belt.

Baler seems to be working good, good old New Holland #66 with the wad board

It is a good baler but I swear every time we go to use it something on it breaks.

Back in the 1960's we baled with an International 45 Baler. I think it is the only baler I have ever seen that had a twinebox on either side of the bale chamber instead of on the backside of the pickup.

Hard to tell, but I don’t think the generator was turning.

Yep, the belt that runs off the crank to the water pump decided it didn’t want to be tight anymore. We had to stop when we noticed the tractor was overheating.
