This was my “ligaw song” wayback ‘03-‘04. Torpe ako sa mga bilang ng mga torpe kaya dinaan ko na lang sa kanta ung pagpaparamdam ko sa babaeng kinahumalingan ko nun...We became good friends and eventually she’s the best amongst my best of friends...and yes! Sinagot nya ko... 10 years ago we got married and this is the theme song of our treasured relationship. We even use this as our bridal dance.. After 2 kids and uncountable adventures, all the highs and lows, i still go crazy over her. ‘Ika nga nila, there will always be a song for us. I remember one of their interviews when this came out. If I remember correctly, Rico said a friend was asking for "pasalubong" from when they went to Indonesia (or somewhere else, can't remember). Since he didn't have any, he gave this and entitled it Balisong ("Bali" song). ☺

Maybe the song meaning is sad for Mr Rico (if the madla is right about their hint..), but this would be our pre-wedding song :) When the part of the song said 'wake up fool, this fairytale got to end' it means to me to take courage and make it come true.. I believe it's like being stabbed, kasi masaklap ma-friendzone, may line sa song na (For all I know you only see me as a friend, I try to tell myself, "Wake up fool!
