i do like watching your vid's but one thing your missing from these training vid's is seeing her how she was before you started working with her. it would be nice to see how far she's come on

I love watching Barry and his horses I find it very relaxing listening to the hoof beats on the pavement to me is like music to my ears that nothing compares too . I also like Barry when he is telling the horses off (YOU do or you do what your told ) in that broad english accent of his that makes me giggle 😊

A valuable video about the transition back to the owner.

Very good point you make-schooling the pony and her owner together. If a person has had a ''scare'' in the past with their horse, it can be a big ''ask'' to get them to feel safe with the horse again. I really hope that Magic and her owner have a happy, confident partnership together.

It's a good point however this is not easy to do - in the initial stages of reschooling, both Barry and myself are focused on training the horse; it is hard to film at this stage because the horse is our main priority and it might need both of us to concentrate on the horse instead of the camera. However the next film of Magic that is being uploaded soon does feature her owner talking about how she was before coming to us.

What a Lovely Lovely Mare Have just watched part 2 & 3 Together, Pleased I did, It give's a Better understanding of what Magic had gone through, To see Magic go up that hill with no Aids apart from the Voice, That was also Magic, Love Understanding, & Trust from Magic to You both, Its always Great to see that a Horse has been turned Around, & Not Totally Ruined. I hope Magic goes on to a Long & Happy Life, Mel That was a Great Close up Camera pic of Magic's head, With a Lovely Lose Lip,Vid 3

that's true about the need for both of you at some point and from all the vid's i have seen i witness that your focus is on about the horses, comfort, safety etc and it's lovely to see,i know of one person who has a flexi tripod and has used it on a variety of things it just wraps around the item to hold it like a fence post, then it free's yours or whoever is holding the camera's hands up.....all i can say is keep up the good work, i enjoy watching

The one I'm restarting who has balked has clearly not had much ground work before he was hitched. He really doesn't know what whoa means, so we are starting out with ground driving and getting a firm foundation on starting and stopping. Saturday, he cracked us all up when he, being very eager to please, halted with a front foot in the air, and didn't put it down for several seconds until he was sure it was okay. I think he's got the idea that whoa means stop and freeze mastered.

I only just discovered this third Magic video. That dishing is going to be hard on her joints as the years roll by. I would love a follow-up on some of these horses with traumatic histories. Did her owner manage to drive her with confidence once she got her home? I wish anyone who has anything to do with horses would watch Barry's videos. They should be compulsory.

If you could put the camera on a tripod somewhere safe, it would help people all over the world to learn horsemanship skills from you. There are so many who do it wrong. The more people who learn to do it right, the fewer tragic horses there will be.
