Very informative video. Do not stress. Once our females lay eggs, we give them a quick bath in the water and then get them into a clean tub. We usually wait a few days and then feed them a live rat, same size they were eating prior to going gravid. They almost always eat right away. You are doing a great job.

Ohhh man,, that’s crazy but imagine how that feels to put in about 3 years growing a girl up , the girl that got you into even considering breeding and you pair her for her first season,, successful locks every single time the male went in, watching her to build, build then ovulate , everything’s going great and my Mojave ghost x blade clown( same male paired to the girl I’m talking about ) laid one morning was ecstatic and at my highest producing my first EVER snake clutch then I look into my pastel pinstripe new gene girl and she’s ontop of a pile of eggs and I’m freaking glowingggg with joy,, then I notice ALL OF HER EGGS... were slugs,, and she was eggbound with 2 eggs in the almost center of her body and all that joy just stopped,, was a wild first season ,, just released a video on that eggbound girl on my Safe Haven Care&Quality youtube channel

The feeling of actually having your work pay off is amazing...its a huge journey with up and downs, but the ups are worth the down. In your case, seeing as one of your first clutches ended up being a negative experience I hope that the 1st clutch kept you driven to continue in your journey. Ill check out your channel to look at that egg bound girl...but I hope she made it through ok.

Yo I remember when you got that group of snakes and you were trying to give away that female.... I was trying to get her from you LOL but I live all the way in Colorado and you've already got rid of her. You've come a long way, and that room looks a million times better! That last time I talk to you we didn't have any snake, now we're up to 19, with three more on the way.... Not to mention our babies. We ended up. We ended up having 5 clutches, 38 Eggs, only one slug..... 22 babies so far from three different clutches.... 7 already shed out.. Two are already eating. we ended up feeding our females right away, but we still did feed a smaller than normal meal

it's not bad, for a 1st year rookie (50% success on hatchlings survival, some rotten eggs) 2 clutches so far, 1 was maternal incubation, a 3rd clutch in the artificial incubator (this last one is my expensive project, I don't want to risk losing anything) + 1 Ovy a couple weeks ago! the cool thing here in Moscow is that I can sell the baby BPs double the prices done in USA & Europe!! It's a developing market and it has something to do with the import tax (aka smuggling fees: + 30% extra on the price of the snake) As I don't flip snakes/reptiles from the Hamm show (which was canceled for the last 2 editions of March & June), I promote my non-holdbacks as "made in Russia" LOL as if it was a great thing!! :P

@@lorgagssertao4036 awesome on your clutches...and yes its tough, I have two clutches (9eggs total) but it seems that some dehydrated to quick and I may actually loose 3 or 4 eggs.. its the learning curve you know.. you can practice as much as you want, but when you have real life developing inside an egg in a artificial incubator anything can happen, and your only teacher is experience. Hope your clutches end up better as the years go by.... im hoping I can tweak my settings to get a much higher success rate …. And awesome about your prices lol... hoping your selling pinstripes for $450 lol
