Ive noticed that the cpu on heisman cheats so on defense you have to audible to what you want to do. If you want to play man then call zone and audible to man. I like to call heavy zone plays and audible to man blitzes. It works well most times. Also play tight but not press coverage. Move the db closer to the receiver and defend run with safety. On 3rd down call a safe man and audible to a zone blitz. Always try to apply pressure
@carltonbanks54703 ай бұрын
This is very true. I think it's ridiculous they've built the AI to know your initial play calls. You pretty much have to audible and hot route damn near every play. Stock plays almost never work. Especially pass plays.
@ftligahmef13 ай бұрын
@carltonbanks5470 yep the same goes for offense. If I want to run I call a deep pass or play action

HUGE fan of how the running game has been coming together with this new playbook and these fun formations. I’ve seen some other people say it as well, but try delaying the sprint button, sometimes it’s a trigger for the blockers to get to the next level, even when you’re one first level block away from no doubt big gainers. Dominating Time of Possession is a massive lift until the defense gets good enough to actually compliment the offense. Glad I was here for the standard playbook and all of the hot routes, helped me learn a whole lot!! Can’t wait to see the trophy make its way to Muncie, you’re the man Max!

Oh man, as the big QB sneak supporter in the comments every week I fel terrible about that first drive, sorry Max. I can honestly say though that in probably 50+ times running that play, I've only fumbled once or twice. I think it usually happens when your qb has high wear and tear, which is true on running backs as well of course. It seems like Kelly often goes into the game with high wear and tear or it builds up super fast. Maybe he has really low injury stats or something. I had a player like that in one of my own rebuilds who was a 91 ovr running back but he couldn't play more than like 40% of snaps without building up massive wear and tear. New playbook looks super solid though!
@maxplayscfb3 ай бұрын
Ahahahaha no worries, I think even if he didn’t fumble I was short, so I just thought it was hilarious🤣🤣 I think they ran that goal line pinch, if they line up in that formation again I may audible out of it, but I’m still a QB sneak believer Also yeah - wild how easily he gets worn down, but to be fair, Kelly is GRINDING in these games. Hey Max. A few things I wanna say for tips. First I think you should put magwood in the slot more often. Second guess pass when your on defense and when you know the computer is passing. Like at the end of games. It will help with pass rush and coverage. I'm pretty sure that's what the computer was doing to you. That's you your O line was blocking for only like one second. Third The A.I. is very adapted.

You should have pulled some hours off the 5*. You had a big lead and he would have committed on 20 or 40 hours. On the DT, sometimes the computer puts up a lot of points, and then backs off, so you could have gained or scheduled a visit to recapture the lead. Class is coming together. Just need those base players for the future run. You wasted the coaching points, as you don't scout many players as is. I usually watch on 1.25 or 1.5 speed, slow it to normal when I pay attention to detail. @17:30 you made bad route progressions looking for the TD, and missing open X and RB (was opening). We all do it. I don't disagree w/ the heavy Double Mug 0 Blitz guy, but I like the strategic D play as well. It's real and not cheesing. I also run a lot of Match concepts, but it gives up a lot of underneath and runs. It's good that you speak your thoughts on what you are seeing for the adjustments made. #BSC #FireCoach #BowlingOrFired!

Was it the D that was bad or was it 2 huge turnovers (1st drive QB Sneak and last drive INT) and Kelly getting injured that screwed you? I *really* don't like the slide delays from CFB25 for QBs. So many times we're trying to slide and either get caught in a tackle animation, dive forward, or fumble. A bunch of Kelly runs we could tell you were trying to get down, and he just ... didn't.
@maxplayscfb2 ай бұрын
I’m with ya on the slide delays - also yeah, I did a bit of digging into my team defense stats in one of the future games and my main takeaway was: We do a pretty solid job on a total yards basis when it comes to defense, we just have HORRIBLE starting field position / lots of tries on defense right now bc of my turnovers

@maxplayscfb2 ай бұрын
100%, thank you! Gonna do my best to resist the urge of moving the 5 star SS to play nickel linebacker alongside Santiago Knight🤣🤣
@prestonchrisman73823 ай бұрын
For defense: I know it is cheesy, but in my Heisman dynasties I am a full "live and die" by the nickel double mug mid blitz player. I call it 99% of the time regardless of down and distance. Do I give up frequent long touchdowns when they block it up and break one tackle? Yes. But the amount of sacks and tackles for loss that it generates more than makes up for it in my opinion. It usually completely shuts down the run unless they use lots of heavy two tight end sets or something like that. And I spend tons of recruiting effort on man-to-man corners with high speed ratings to try to limit those big passing plays, and move faster LB's to my outside pass rusher spots to get to the QB as quickly as possible. And just like you did with Knight, I like moving safeties to my MLB spots and if I have enough good man coverage corners, I'll move some of them to safety spots because I would rather them be good at locking down receivers rather than coming down and making tackles in the run game. Maybe you won't want to run it exclusively like I do, but maybe it will help if you just sprinkle it in more often? Anyways, love the series!!! Actually, I'm addicted to it lol
@maxplayscfb2 ай бұрын
Yeah I may wanna look into the double mug a bit more, but I also love the variety when it comes to the strategy - but thank you so much for being a consistent viewer!!!

This game tries to manufacture outcomes. Its not a true sim. The harder the level, the more the cpu knows your play calls on both sides. Plus your players are capable of coverage busts on defense even if you call the correct defense. The cpu will never bust a coverage.
