@marianatrench73232 жыл бұрын
@@TruStory97 Yes, they beat them, but you have to admit that Brandon had a bit of bad luck. That was a very good hit, that 50% of the time would strike or at most leave the 6. And no, the girl, with half the RPMs as Brandon did not have a bad break at the beginning, that was a bad shot that could have been even worse. But sure, technically they beat them, of course and I am happy for them.
@TruStory972 жыл бұрын
@@marianatrench7323 Lol she had a bad break just like Brandon. Just because he has higher RPM doesn’t mean anything. He threw the ball bad and it came up high! When you throw a bad ball, you 90% of the time end up regretting it. What the people didn’t know was Parker Bohn would leave a 7 pin which in this case was bad luck, now that’s a better example for you. What made it better was how bad Chris them wanted to win lol, these men did not want to lose period, let alone to the opposite gender lol.

Great Bowling Carolyn and Alyssa and a well deserved crown....even cooler that Alyssa bowls just like her MOM and iwill be going to a Great Bowling Program @ Vanderbilt headed by the PWBAs Josie Barnes) CDB definitely still has it and hoping she bowls the PWBA stop in Dallas in early August). Ryan Barnes is going to do well once he gets to the PBA and who knows maybe Brandon Bohn will bowl against his brother Justin (who also bowls at Wichita State and has a great KZbin channel). Was fun watching all of them and of course Parker and Chris are doing quite well in the PBA50 tour (no surprise there) 👍🎳

I get it, Rob Stone is a cheerleader.. but he needs to understand what Mo Pinel said.. even the person throwing the shot is simply a spectator once the shot is thrown. Stone gets a little to over the top yelling at those pins to fall.. Maybe it wouldn't be so obnoxious if he waited to do it in crucial situations instead of every single off pocket hit. Now, get off my lawn.
@SirJoelsuf12 жыл бұрын
A LOT of people in this sport needs to understand a lot of things about what Mo Pinel said. He warned against urethane being problematic 3-4 years ago and now, guess what...it's problematic and causing USBC to be the fascists they are and start disallowing balls because scores are too high. And yeah, bowling is just like pitching in baseball/softball...once that ball leaves your hand, there is literally nothing you can do to change its direction.

Everybody, here, will talk about how Carolyn was on fire, but let's not forget about Alyssa. She refused to give up after a bad frame and she started throwing strikes to keep her team in the game and even then, anything could have happened, no matter how routine Alyssa's single pin spares are to her. Anybody can miss on rare occasion and had Alyssa missed that single pin spare, the girls would lose, no matter what Carolyn could do in the tenth because she would not have that fill shot to add to ninth frame. Spares are the foundation on how to be consistent at bowling. You can throw a perfect game with strikes, but you are still not yet consistent until you get spares.

I was looking at various result possibilities after that eighth frame. That was a HUGE strike from Alyssa Ballard to keep the girls pacing in the 220's and beyond that point, the max score for the guys was 218. Even then, the guys refused to go down without a fight and all they could do was watch Carolyn get red hot to beat them, anyway. One of the craziest possibilities is that had the guys done everything we see in this video and the girls had finished with nine-miss after Alyssa's strike, the guys would beat the girls, 217 to 216. The guys did everything they needed to make Carolyn mark and she got hot when it mattered. The girls win, 248 to 217 over the guys.

As this show aired on TV, I wondered if the Bowlmor corporation compensated people to appear in Jupiter, Florida. Many traveled long distances to get to this venue. Did these teams win any prize money for their efforts? What was Colie Edison's or Tom Shannon's reason for televising this kind of event? To promote bowling as a family activity?

What a great match! If the Ballards bowled the Barnes 10 times, I have to think the Barnes would win at least 8 of them. But on this day, the ladies put the hammer down and really made all the clutch shots. Congratz to them for sure.

Yes, 8 out of 10 would be accurate. Same with the Bohns considering the massive difference in speed and revs. Of course, speed and revs is not important (says every sub 300 RPM bowler)...
