So much fun! I was a ballet dancer and yes, we call those buns here in America. The dress is made of tulle, and the longer style like this is called a romantic tutu. The shorter ones that stand straight out are classical tutus. Thank you for this demonstration!

Hi Clive! This painting seems like something just about anyone could do.. at least I'm hoping I'll be able to do it. I need to get some supplies first. I will probably practice drawing the shapes of your dancing girls, and your women in general, while I wait to get the supplies I need . I used my Prismacolor Pencils and was able to draw one of your ladies; the one that says "abstract" where you used aluminum foil to make the texture with black and white loosely mixed, and she's wearing a warm red skirt, with a black top. Mine ended up looking like a fitted coat with a tall collar, which is fine. It was quite easy, and I like it a lot; I only wish I had done it in my sketch book rather than the back of a cheap junk mail envelope...haha! I hope to get up the inspiration to draw her in my sketch book, along with your other ladies. I really love your ladies :-) Thank you so much for teaching us

I love how detailed and informative your tutorials are. it has really helped me. I have one question though. how do you remove Pencil marks from the canvas. No matter how light I draw, erasers don't help remove them and it shows up at times even after painting over it
