I now understand why zo2 struggled in his rookie season with the Lakers. At first I thought he was scared to dribble down and set up the offense, and it seemed like he would just hot potato the ball down court. Now after seeing this I realized that he was used to playing with finishers that were always looking to leak out. The Lakers wasn't playing at this pace, and it exposed some of the holes in his game. That being said, now I want to see him and his brothers on the same squad.

I'm telling you 5'10 lamelo was way more efficient than 6'4 lamelo, far more efficient. Watch any of his pre-growth spurt tapes, he took far less silly shots, no dribble pull-ups , just spot up shooting and slashing. Wish he'd play like that again.
@emmanu99167 жыл бұрын
True but lamelo in his sophomore year didn't have a player like lonzo on his team to facilitate the ball around. Lamelo did need to produce more but I too still think he was more efficient in his freshman year.

They were the high school version of Rick Pitino's Kentucky teams in the mid-90s...just press you and press you until you wilted. Guys who could bomb it from outside (Tony Delk, Jeff Sheppard, Anthony Epps, Antoine Walker) and enough ball handling and size to sustain runs. So impressive that this was a public school and not some athletic academy too.
