i'm finally back on pointe after a long break! so happy. this video is basically three parts; storytime chatting about ballet & getting my pointe shoes, sewing them, and last trying them on (well...one of them)

You probably don't need to sew that often. But, I've found that when sewing through thick fabrics (like heavy weight pvc) using a curved needle can help to punch through the layers. And for greater purchase, gripping your needle with pliers (say a needle nose, no pun intended) *really* takes the pressure off your fingers. GL.

It must have been really hard, I'm glad you could go back to your classes!! i feel the same way about the teaching method, i tend to overdo everything and every rough correction is fuel for the devil in my ear, saying i'm not enough (currently working and making progress on this but it's just hard to let go)
