the microphone is really… bad, just like 3Dio. unfortunately custom mics that are 10 times cheaper have better audio than this

Wow it does indeed sound very detailed. Especially those very short and sharp sounds I think sound way different than other mics. Maybe due to a higher sampling rate? It probably just picks up much smaller amplitudes and has wider dynamic range than most mics so there is minimal distortion. I also really enjoy the lack of boominess or weird low frequencies. It's like very pleasant when the sound is so clean and there is no background hum. Thanks for providing this great content for us.
