As someone who played violin, I love the smell of rosin. Funny enough, my friend's uncle used to make Rosin from the sap that oozed out of the mesquite trees that littered his backyard. He'd cut wood to roast corn and sometimes gave us the sap to chew on. It was sweet and sticky, like a hard candy. The mesquite trees in my family's yard also produced sap, but we never collected it- just peeled it off and would chew on it from time to time. :3 This video just made me recall some nice childhood memory. Thank you for sharing!

I'm turning 40 in one week. today is the first time I learned that ballet dancers use rosin on their pointe shoes. you really do never stop learning new stuff.
@breakingpointe7272 жыл бұрын
Indeed they do, although it depends on the flooring. If you are dancing on wooden floors, they tend to be slippery, so rosin is used to make shoes grippier. I know schools such as the Vaganova used to watering cans to sprinkle the floors with water to also make them less slippery. You can see the water marks if you watch old Vaganova exam videos. This was before they started to use more modern flooring like the studio I dance at, which is a sort of rubbery linoleum floor that is grippy so there is no need for rosin.

I'm completely mindblown. Every single sequence is extraordinarily well done and relaxing. I'm STUNNED by the CGI forest, I couldn't tell at first if it was real or not. It was the most relaxing part for me, I just want to wander in that forest for hours.

Love this - some of the best ASMR sounds can be found in ballet class! I just had pointe class yesterday and the sound of shoes creaking as we were all doing rises at the barre was 🔥! Although I do have to say, based on the intro shots - girllll....get thee some new shoes - those are beyond dead! 😅
