I’m old enough to remember when HOH’s and A2000’s were $150. Pro Preferred and A2K were not a thing yet. Quick side note in September 2003 I got a job delivering cabinets and one of my first deliveries was to the UVA baseball stadium. It was like walking into a Rawlings HOH catalog and nothing was locked up. Pretty cool to get paid to see that and no I didn’t steal or touch anything.

I picked up a LHT Easton Flagship 1B for $110 AUD ($70 USD), normal RRP is $299 ($210 USD). with an OF glove thrown in for free. Haven't been able to game it yet but feels super deep and breaks in pretty well.

I got an FM18 R9 as my first 1B mitt in hs. Fell in love with the pattern. I’ve gravitated towards it for like 6 years now, my college just had our third glove day and it’s been thr same model for me every time.

I was just getting ready to type this. The whole SSK line is severely underrated and underrepresented. Great patterns and really good leather. Even the SSK Z5 is a good line of gloves; a little cheaper feeling but still very good leather.

I agree. Purchased the 13 in SSK Z7 for 160 and love it. These gloves are easy to break in and very comfortable.

(One is a Marucci Capitol series 11.75 closed 2 piece web, the other Mizuno Pro Austin Riley model 11.75 model also. Marucci will be my softball glove if all goes well)

Do you offer glove refurbishment? I have a custom A2000 that’s a few years old now and still in great shape but I’d love if there was some way to freshen up the leather and replace one or two small pieces on the thumb loop. Thanks man. Love your videos.

How do you store your gloves? My collection is growing rapidly and I need a setup to store them properly and keep them out of the way. I use them all so I need something I can easily access them too. Maybe do a dedicated video on that.

Just going off of stiffness and shape, one suggestion to anyone who's thinking about buying a Rawlings 1B mitt from Dick's: Just get the GGE, the HOH is gonna be R2G which is pretty much just the GGE in a different color with slightly more comfortable leather.
