Melanie Horowitz they help with the delivery of the baby. I might be wrong, but in a home birth, I think they deliver the baby. But if you have to have a hospital birth, they come along and help you through the experience. Hope this helps!!

@@faithabigail2004 Certainly not trying to be sarcastic! It's commonly thought that the line is "Luke, I am your father" but Darth Vader actually says, "No, I am your father." I absolutely believe Star Wars had an influence over Jake's love of the name, however, and so I'm sure the reference will still be made. :)
