actually yapping. He says hardest guy to guard was AI cause he was fast and went at you for 50-60 a night, then says he can't guard Curry because he never had to guard a guy that was going at him for 30... I get Curry is the better shooter but he didn't say that he just backtracked what he said like 5 mins prior.

NBA Basketball from a talent and skill point of view hasnt changed that much since the late 90s. The top20-30 players since the late 90s can play in any era. The 2020s era benefits from Adam Silvers rule changes. The current playoffs expose it quite well. As soon as you defend all these 3p shooting teams drop from 36% to 28%.

You see him, he was 6'6, about 205-210, but he was also long-armed and had long strides, he was SUPER athletic, he could get space off fadeaways like nobody's business.

It’s about mentality. 80’s believe they can & 2000’s believe they can’t. Whatever you believe is true. Both are correct! If you believe you can then you can, if you believe you can’t, then you can’t. Maybe the 2000’s need to work on their belief. This is based on what Gilbert said out of his mouth.

Gil always skips over this fact. How the game is officiated, and unspoken protocols of the era is a determining factor how dominant alot of players are. Would Steph be as great a shooter if he was dealing with the physicality of the 80s and 90s. How much more dominant would Isiah Thomas or AI have been playing in today's game where they are allowed to carry and travel and nauseum without being hammered by inside defenders?

My question would be why isn't Kareem in the top 10? Hakeem? The NBA is the NBA so for me rings have to matter because it's not a one on one league and ppl lose there jobs way faster some dude avgs 30 but can't bring a ring . I'm actually to young to have seen Kareem or magic or bird play so for my top.10 I'd have them in there but if I only do say 90s to now 1. MJ 2. Lebron 3. Kobe 4. Duncan 5. Shaq 6. Curry 7. Durant 8. Hakeem 9. Dirk 10. Jokic Honored mentions P. Pierce - at one point he was the best small forward in the NBA right before the greatest small forward era happened. S. Pippen - pippen was the clear cut best and most impactful SF of the 90s era. Some may say grant hill but he didn't have a long enough prime to compare. Malone- once the second most points in NBA history. Two x made it to the finals as the number one guy. Longevity as well peaked longer than expected. Barkley- greatest small ball pf ever in the none small ball era. Also went to the finals as clear best player on his team. David Robinson - MVP dpoy champion. Although wasn't in his prime during Tim Duncan's era still became known as the twin towers. Harden- greatest offensive threat to never be a #1 on a championship team or even win one. Russ- triple doublel king Leonard - top 6 small forward all time One of the greatest two way stars of the 2k era. P. George - another great two way player all time. You could say he had a Greater regular season career than Leonard. Not as good in the playoffs but also has been the guy on teams longer than Leonard with the amount of injuries he has had yr to yr. Iverson - the first elite scoring guard under 6'4 to avg 30 ppg for stretch of his career and not just a season. Had one of the greatest seasons ever in sixer history making it to the finals without another scorer on the team. Ben Wallace - the only none scoring talent on the list. Greatest def player I've ever seen at the center spot amongst guys that aren't also scorers like D Howard. Actually beat Shaq and Kobe without a premier elite scoring talent on the team. Multi dpoy awards and truly deserving. Probably put Chauncey in position to even have a case for Hof recognition Cp3- the last PG ever drafted to come into the league as a pass first style PG who could run all forms of offensive sets and can play with any type of star and get him the ball in his spots. Elite two way PG. Kg- two way all star that won MVP dpoy and a championship while not even at apex prime in the big three that sent LeBron to mia

For me Russ just isn't someone you can win a title behind. To avg a triple double you need the ball in your hands to much to not be able to shoot from mid or three. On one hand after kd left he never had a championship capable team. But you had melo you had PG. For all the assist he gets. It's not with the understanding of the game someone like rondo cp3 has for being a floor general. So in a since the team was better with him getting triple doubles because it's very limited talent. But in a championship situation I probably don't want to play him the last 5-3 minutes of the game. Turnovers bad shooter from field and free throw line. So one MVP for triple doubles that won't lead to a chip is enough respect for me

@kidnplaysavage4215 I mean u can be that's fine u was never with the 90s...now me I'm with basketball period and just because u love lebron shouldn't make u discredit other eras or players...I'm not discrediting lebron or anyone else I'm just speaking the truth he don't belong in the same conversation as the other two but he is a great player and carved a lane of his own

@@AyeJ380s are shit? That’s crazy talk. Their defense was a lot better. Less flashy, but they played pretty damn efficient and definitely more team ball. It’s crazy how you can tell who are really students of the game.

You drunk, “the LeBron effect”…Lebron historically has made his teammates worse more times than not, which is why he always seems to never have enough good players…

Gilbert list is stupid, he said he like people that get buckets but he left out Larry bird and Hakeem which are way better scores then magic , Westbrook, harden I love iverson but come on dude Tim Duncan is wayyyyy better then AI , Larry bird is wayyyy better then KD but at the end of the day it is your list lol

Gilbert couldn't hold nothing but his shorts up, no defense. He was on the magic when Kobe rang they bell for the championship 🏆. What happened. Oh Kobe put 50 on every team and destroyed every individual peer.
