first time in years I've watched a HS game where the players used more fundamentals and skill than attitude. Compliments to their coaches.

This is some pretty solid basketball. Some high school basketball seems like a contest to see which teammate can shoot the first 3 pointer. Not the case here. The guys are passing the ball and demonstrating good teamwork. Defense is intense looking to make the stop or an opportunity to make a steal. Not much showboating going on. Entertaining to watch even if you're not a diehard fan.

Duncanville High School out of Dallas, TX. They won the state championship last year. They literally held the opposing team to like 5 points in the second half of that game.

Not trying to hate, but this kid needs to stop trying to dribble so much and protect the damn ball. I get that he's got decent handles for his size and all, but every time he throws it away it converts into a layup down the other end. The other thing I don't get is, don't these teams ever learn how to attack a full-court press? I've seen this over and over again in these high-level high school games. They just try to dribble through it.
@oldmanballer5088 Жыл бұрын
I don’t know when it happened but that’s how I see all teams attacking it and it’s frustratingly stupid!

@@hobo9945 what if he doesn't care about a fan base and just wants to play basketball, and at a D1 college you put in the same amount of hours into your sport than a pro athlete does, in some cases college is even harder than the pros because your going to class on top of that, but as a pro you work at your own pace and set your own schedule, but in college you have to do everything at a set time with the team, not to mention G-League is better competition, so he'll improve playing against more talented players than he will in college, most college players don't even get a shot at the pros, NBA or otherwise

@@hobo9945 Scoot Henderson was 17 when he entered the G-League, now he's gonna be top 3 in the NBA draft, the G League helps develop their players, your a fool if you think it doesn't, playing with fans is only a small part of the game, the real work is done when no one is watching, spending hours in practice, listening to the coach, individual hours in the gym, weight room, and the field developing skills, strength, and agility, you won't even get the playing time to show off in front of fans if you don't put in the work first

Little rough out there refs… I was a pretty good high school player from the country….my white ass would be sittin at the end of the bench for these two teams. Facts. Glad to see there’s some great high school players and teams on the rise, well at least in some areas anyways. I went to a high school game a while back and the teams talent level was so down compared to many many years honestly. The kids were so soft and all they wanted to do was chuck and when they had a decent shot they’d pass, super backwards. Great channel y’all’s.
