I think if he would've went to college his chances would be much better. All these guys saying he won't make it is doing nothing but adding fuel to his fire. You know how many people told this dude he won't make it because he's too small? He has elite talent which belongs at the next level. Regardless if he's a star or not he can play in the league.

I've been a big fan of Aquille since he was in high school. But as far as him in the NBA, I won't say it isn't possible but in reality it's not gonna happen. Pierre Jackson is 5'10 and is tearing the D-League, but no team wants him, so you can imagine what will happen to Aquille, at 5'6.
@EmilioCuevas

Christopher Moore Pierre and Aquille both were in the D-League, only difference is, A.C. was released, Pierre wasn't and the only reason Pierre was in the D-League was because part of his contract said he was suppose to play overseas for a year.

I don't just watch mix tapes of Carr I've watched him in real games he can definitely play. Shooting is not his strong point, but dude won't getting ate up when he was in the d league. Just because he got released doesn't mean he's not good half of y'all didn't even see his games.
@davidhall4401
@davidhall4401 3 жыл бұрын
@Steph Boyarthree Absolutely you must be able to shoot. He needed to develop the ability to play comfortably without the ball. In order to accomplish this, one must learn how to shoot a one motion quick release catch and shoot three pointer without wasted motion similar to Klay Thompson or Reggie Miller. Carr should have went to college, rather than turning pro right away. He had the quickness and athleticism to play at the highest level, but he did not have the ability to run to a spot on fast breaks or catch and shoot off screens. He also needed to transition from pure scorer to facilitator like a Chris Paul, but maintain his scoring without the shoot first mentality. Carr could have accomplished these things if he had listened to Muggsey Bogues. Bogues knew Carr's fam because they all grew up in Baltimore. He urged Carr to attend Seton Hall so he could develop the intangibles to stay on the floor. Back tracking a little bit, shooting is not the only thing needed to play off the ball, but it's an essential ingredient when you're working to get open. Some people will come and say Westbrook or Dame doesn't play without the ball, but those guys are 6 ft 3 and athletic. When you're 5 ft 6 you must walk the straight and narrow to make it. With that being said, making poor choices and still playing in the nba g league at 5 ft 6 shows how good this guy was. He even got called up by the Houston Rockets, but was quickly released before ever having the chance to suit up. Besides shooting, which he wasn't atrocious at, Carr knew how to use his height to his advantage. He could shoot when his feet were set and knock down outside shots off the dribble. However, set shooting and shooting off the dribble does not make anyone a true shooter. Klay, Steph, Reggie, Ray Allen, Mark Price, and Dale Ellis were true shooters. James Harden is an exception to the rule for guys who don't specialize in shooting off screens or without the ball because he mastered shooting off the dribble and he's 6 ft 5. For 5ft6 Carr was a once in a lifetime player. There are other very good players such as Junior Robinson and Trae Jefferson who was one of the leading scorers in college, but noone at 5 ft 6 has done what this guy did in a long time and we probably won't ever see anyone like him again unless he possesses shooting and off ball ability.

@Steph Boyarthree Sorry for typing such a long response.
@davidhall4401
@davidhall4401 3 жыл бұрын
@Steph Boyarthree Exactly. He needed to stay at Seton Hall all 4 years. Boykins, Bogues, and Spudd stayed all 4 years. Boykins could shoot and play off the ball very well. Spudd was Aquille before Aquille, but had the pass first mentality and iq needed to survive the league. Muggsey was very similar to Carr also in terms of dribble drive penetration, but had the pass first mentality and iq. Bogues was also a steals magnet on defense who could knock down the midrange jumper. Carr could defend and get steals at a high level, but he didn't have the defensive mentality from watching him play. His coach should have taught him how to pay attention to small details on both ends of the floor. They asked too much of him on the offensive end from a scoring standpoint. Instead of averaging 30 plus, he should have averaged 25 and worked on using his teammates more. I know he won a state championship, but those small intangibles would have been preparing him for the long term.

This is cool and all. I'm sure he's a decent offensive player. You can't really tell cause these are highlights but let's face it how in the world would he match up with half of the nba on d. Realistically he could stop a John Wall or even a shorter nba guard. The avg PG is like probably around 6'2 (speculation) that's like 8 inches. You can't out jump that kind of difference....maybe he could get some lucky blocks but he wouldn't be able to do that consistently or even get a good contest on a jump shot. I'm 5'9, sucks to be short but that's how God made us lol....he's fun to watch though.
