I followed instructions for Ballistol , mixing it with water and poured it on my car battery terminals which had some corrosion on them. Corrosion disappeared with a greasy protective coat remaining. Great stuff !!!

the great thing about ballistol is you can see the results of ppl thats only used it on their guns for 40 yrs. and still look new with no bad side effects. these new plc can't claim that. my dad used it forever on $5000 colt python wood to model 60 22s to ak47s to the old colt m4s to workbooks to his old camping gear..only ballistol and his guns and stuff look and ran perfect for 40yrs. its a miracle product.

I love Ballistol. It is even slightly alkaline so it neutralizes corrosive ammo residue, like surplus Russian/Chinese 7.62x39 and black powder. I use it on my SKS and muzzle loading flintlock and a replica Colt 1860 cap and ball revolver. I love the smell, kinda like the Danish black licorice I grew up with.

i love it. keeps my mossberg clean, lubricated and looking nearly new. ive started using it on other stuff as well, but I love it most on blued steel 👍

What is the long gun stock off of? And has the oil affected it in any long term negative way?

Used it recently for the first time to thoroughly clean then lube a Mosin Finnish capture rifle. GREAT STUFF! Clean sand lubes. I don't look at Hoppes the same as used too.

Great video. I am trying to clean a pew pew stick. I bought the non aerosol can 16 ounces. On something’s it says to dilute with water. Can I use it without diluting it? Thank you for your time.

Can Ballistol be use to clean the vinyl ( plastic parts)surfaces inside a vehicle? If so how effective will be in comparison to other car products like: mother's or turtle wax?

Works really, really well, for treating unfinished wood handles for premium axes and other fine tool handles, superior to boiled linseed oil IMO for penetration and protection.

I would also recommend Frog Lube. I use mostly only Frog Lube but use Ballistol as well. They are the only 2 I use.

Check out the HUGE list of uses on their website. I believe dashboards and tires would be just fine. I also believe that you could use the wipes on your hemorrhoids since Ballistol was also used to treat wounds in WWI. However, the U.S version of Ballistol was never sent to the FDA for approval, so Ballistol does not condone using it for consumption or the treatment of wounds.

I have a little honeywell fan I leave at my desk. The motor seized up. Took it apart. Sprayed out dust. Once the ballistol hit some moving parts it's like new.

Ray my good man, have you tried the non-aerosol? Ballistol smells like black licorice to me, and the non-aerosol has no propellants so you may like that kind better...

Reading too many threads and getting more confused. So will ask ur opinion. Need to prepare some pistols and rifles for long term storage, possibly years. Planning yo clean and which to lube with is my question. Ballistol, or eezox or Casey rust prevention . of course will have some dessicant system in area as well. Please advise. Is ballistol ok or I need to buy something else to lube with for long term storage. Thanks

nsz85 I use Ballistol on lot s of things plus my guns. Winter is here. I bet you never heard of putting it on chapped lips. I do this and it's better than any expensive lip balm I ever bought. Just a drop on my finger tip and wipe it around on my lips. It will not harm you. If you start to get chapped lips put it on. Smooths that cracked burning pain.

Wash and rinse your car. Then put a few good squirts of Ballistol in the bucket fill it up with some clean water dunk a clean towel in there and wipe down the whole car with it. Rinse off. The car looks and feels like you just waxed it. Will not hurt paint or metals. Don't forget to oil your door and hood hinges. Ballistol I love it.

I am still a hoppes guy. if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I use the lubriplate FMO-350AW for my oil because of Grant Cunningham's article on his website called lubrication 101. I will every once in a while clean out the copper fouling with the foaming bore cleaner in the blue can.

it's also good for the pads under your dogs feet (no idea what they're called) in winter, especially if the road has been cleared with salt.

Ricardo Handels I use Ballistol for chapped lips. A drop on the finger tip and spread it around the lips. Works better than any expensive lip balm

I have a heard a lot of good things about FrogLube, but they never answered any of my emails. So I conluded 3 things, 1. They don't care to answer emails from potential customers, 2. I will now never buy FrogLube products, 3. Ballistol does everything I want it to do and more AND they answer emails.

Ah, well I can't blame you there...gotta take care of your customers. I Don't know what his operation is like now, but I do know it was started by an ex-navy seal and he was creating and selling the stuff by himself out of his home. That could still be the case...a lesson to learn for him though if he wants to make it a better business.
