It has a sweet smell, like liquorice. Not only does it have a ton of uses but it will never gum up and there's no way anyone can do it wrong. Simple, fast, reliable, and non toxic.

I clean the battery terminals in my vehicles then apply Ballistol to the terminals. No more white crusty corrosion junk build up. Works great on work boots and of course a great gun cleaner and Lube. Read the history of Ballistol very interesting.

That's the classic German Ballistol universal oil. They also have Ballistol USA, which calls it "Multi-Purpose" instead of "Universalöl", and that different labeling also has a way more green design. Hope that helps!

We have the English versions here in the US. Many gun stores have the aerosol or even the bottle in stock. It’s also fine if you mix it with water (10/90water) and it will be fine on metal. It’s just a solvent or even bore cutting fluid at that point.

I was told that there are people who react allergic to ballistol and then it goes down very fast for them. I use ballistol primary for cuts and wounds to aid woundhealing as well as to protect my straight razors. I don`t even remember when i last used a blister. It makes wounds heal way faster. I tend to use the spraybottles. Holds way longer. One of its uses is to clean the ears of a dog or a horse among others. Greedings from germany. Edit: Since we are at great german products you might want to take a look at "Franzbranntwein" or "Latschenkieferöl" (mountain pine oil) It`s great for muscle ache. Don`t put it on open wounds or your balls though. I use the "Allgäuer Latschenkiefer Franzbranntwein" brand.

the language is up to the country you buy it from. here in Finland. our ballistol cans have everything written in finnish. and it claims such things as a good cleaner for outer parts of dog ears :D also good for maintaining dog fur and compatible with a horse maines and hoofs :D i cracked up reading it in the store so i had to buy it instead of wd 40 :D it also states that it is used in food and drink industry whitch i doubt as it has a smell and taste and everything used in food industry should be taste free.

@greekveteran2715

Even a TRC knives Mille Cuori, comes with Ballistol ! It's the most multipurpose oil. That beingsaid, WD 40 , is the one that most people use wrong! For example, they put it inside locks, or into doors that are noisy.. most than that, they use it as an oil, but not only it isn't oil, but it also dows damage to most things it's used on. WD40 works like acid and, that's why it can damage mechanisms etc...
@TheModernSurvivalist
@TheModernSurvivalist 3 жыл бұрын
@@greekveteran2715 Ive been using WD40 on guns and mechanisms for decades now, never saw it damage any of them. Im sure it has no acid, just a light, highly penetrating oil.
@greekveteran2715
@greekveteran2715 3 жыл бұрын
@@TheModernSurvivalist I never said it has acid,I said it acts like acid.It's a rust remover,not an oil. That's what most people get wrong.I'm a chemist, but probably, you won't beleive me. Go ask a chemist that you trust, If you don't beleive me. If you keep using it, it will eventualy do damage, either plastic, or even small parts, that locks have inside them.

This is the perfect test case for the versatility of Ballistol... First, use the gun that you clean & lube with Ballistol to kill the cat. Next, dab some Ballistol on the scratch. Lastly, fry up some of the feline using Ballistol in the pan for supper.

the mumies name is ötzi, he was found in the ice way up high on tisenjoch in the ötztaler alps (tyrol). he got shot in the back on his way from todays italian side, south tyrol, of the alps crossing over to the austrian side, north tyrol, where he died alone in the snow 5300 years ago. he was a tuff fellow and his edc was light weight and top notch, he even had medicinal mushrooms and nutrional supplement plants to help himself along, which kind of shows how smart our ancestors were. i love ballistol, it is just awesome, word is that it even helps against sore throat. besides on my gear i like to rub it on skin, beard and feet. women love to use it to get the kitchen clean and shiny and use it for furniture conservation, shoes and on aniamals. my mum treads her dogs ears and paws with it and sprays them for tick prevention and shiny fur. people say it is plant based and healthy stuff.
