As a ballroom and Latin dancer here in Germany, I have to say that our ratio is much better. Some clubs do have a slight surplus of girls but there are quite a few boys in the sport and I was pretty confused looking at all the girls dancing together. In the country where Strictly is so well-loved by the public, I would have thought there'd be more competitive dancers of both genders.
