Easily one of the best explanations, I have ever received on the driving action and turning actions. Just wish I discovered you about 5 years ago. Thank you! (Your video is great, but it would be very helpful if you guys wore different colors to better distinguish upper & lower body connections & actions.)

@@Jochabed you 100% right, we should wear different colors!! 😅 but it’s not that easy, as 99.9999% of our dancing clothes are black 🙈🙈 thank you for your comment 🤗

What a great review for me! Different words from the lessons I got, but similar results. Compression, extension, rotation. Asymmetrical swing, start lowering on ‘and’ sway developed from movement, man remember to scoop under lady. And a 100 other details I now forget.

20:00 Delayed CBM for advanced level. 26:00 Pros delayed the timing of lowering and driving step around 6+ to make it no interruption in the movement. 28:00 Spend more time at the end to stretch and show the body line. 32:00 The contact of the Pros is like washing hands, it’s in contact but moving all the time.

What is the reason for why you lead with the ball of the foot before changing to the heel, instead och changing it when your foot is under your body and leading with the heel?
@MatteoDelGaone4 ай бұрын
@@kasperjonsson3867 There are a few different reasons. It allows you to move easily the moving leg on the floor, you can better control the body weight transfer, the leg is shaped so that you have a better fitting with your partner, the overall design of the leg is also better (but this maybe too subjective) and you can have a better legwork on your standing foot. Try and let me know if you also can find these benefits! ✌🏻🤗
@kasperjonsson38674 ай бұрын
@@MatteoDelGaoneit worked great. I felt that I got more contact with the floor which helps me catch my bodyweight a lot smoother. Our timing is a bit better as a result and I feel that our 2nd drive and swing movement became more harmonious 🕺 Keep up the great work 🙏

Excellent and wonderful video Mateo. Just one question, how do you move your knees please?
@MatteoDelGaone4 ай бұрын
Thank you! If you mean during the preparation step and the drive, I try to use my knees to the same direction of the foot. I know some teachers say to use your knees diagonally to control your movement, but I don’t use this a lot. If we talk about the second half of the figure, I can feel that my knees move slightly diagonally to the left, because they are part of the curve of the body that we create from the ground up when we sway.

IMHO, the explanation about timing in a sequence as continously movement is very helpful! Maybe you can give more tips how to improve the (overall) movement regarding timing and musicality interpretation - e.g., also for quickstep, tango ... 🤔

Hi! Yes sure! Musicality is such a huge subject and not so easy to explain, but I think that soon or later we will talk about it on our channel 👌🏻🤗
