The takeaway from this video I got is to be gentle with girls. Which makes sense. Us guys and especially us young lads can sometimes get exited and confuse using aggressive moves to try to show confidence but really if you listen to girls then being gentle is actually much better. Not just in dancing. Great tips!

I don't think romantic love is real or special, and I think romantic relationships are a bad thing. I think humans should just stop being in romantic relationships. I feel like this world would be a much better place without romance than it is with it. Romance seems like an ugly thing. Most fathers don't want their daughters to have anything to do with boys outside of being friends. Many fathers won't allow their daughters to date when they are in high school or still living with them. It does seem that nearly all fathers are hoping that their daughters never date or get married and remain single for their whole life. Romantic relationships seem like a bad thing since there is a lot of dangers when it comes to them. The overprotective father thing is proof that romantic relationships are a bad thing, and that this world would be a much better place without them. People (especially women) should avoid being in a romantic relationship and be single for life since romantic relationships are dangerous.

This is going to sound a bit weird. When I was in 9th grade, I had dance class. I live in a small town so there was only 20 some people in my class. We had to draw names from a jar for a partner. I drew this girl that I actually liked at the time, let’s call her Briana. So I was extremely nervous because we were learning how to slow dance, and I didn’t want her to think I liked her. So I didn’t put much effort into it. It felt really nice, even though I didn’t know how. She told me, “I know this sounds really odd, but let’s do this again sometime,.” So I said nervously, “uh I’ll have to think about that one.” That is when I realized that I just replied with the stupidest answer in the history of ever. My buddy was going to be throwing a party the next Friday, so I thought I could invite her, but she ended up going out of town to see her grandparents. So the next chance I ever get, happened to be a whole 3 years later. (This sounds like a story book, I know) I was in 12th grade and there was a dance, it wasn’t prom, but it was a dance to celebrate our graduation. I asked her to dance and she said, “so you’ve finally made up your mind?” We danced and I was so amazed that she still remembered me saying what I said. After the celebration was over, I drove her home and asked to go to dinner the next day and she said yes. A year and a half later, I’m with the best woman I could ever have wished to be with. I watched this video to refresh my memory because her sister was getting married next weekend. I don’t know why I decided to share this, but I thought it would be a nice story to save for ours kids when they are old enough.

Here in Germany it's a rite of passage for 14 year olds to go to "Dance School" for a couple of months to learn ballroom dancing and a bit of etiquette, culminating in an "Abtanzball" (dance graduation ball). This is mostly a thing in smaller towns, but most of us who did that at least have the basics of how to dance at events. Your video is great for people who did not get to learn it when younger.

Absolutely appreciate this so much!! My bf has always asked me to dance or he'd say he can "envision us doing a slow dance at -parties, future friends or our wedding-" and while I've always enjoyed the idea of it and know how to execute the basic box step (thank you mom for making me watch Fred Astaire movies growing up) I am extremely self conscious and have a lack of confidence when/if I dance, especially slow dancing. What's funny I feel more confident with hip hop style choreographed dances (maybe because it reminds me of an exercise rather than an actual dance) but slow dances I feel puts a little more pressure because while I know everyone else is doing their own thing, I still think of "oh god what I f-up and make a fool out of myself because everyone is watching!!" BUT hopefully, as I have come across this video, very simple, very easy way to learn, this can kinda help me get over that little bump in my own road and put my mind at ease a bit and I'll be able to ~confidently~ dance at a friend's wedding in Sept with him! :D plenty of time to cool my jets, practice and just go with it. @@BallroomFeed it was the best time spent with a girl in years and it went exactly like I planned! We were sitting on a big rock by the river, listening to lofi girl music, and I asked "do you want to dance?" she was surprised, but agreed with no hesitation! I gently grabbed two of her hands, palm to palm left side, her left hand on my shoulder. I even told her why it shouldn't be on neck :D My right hand was on her left shoulder blade at all times :) We started with simple side to side moves, then I led her into forward movement, then we added the side movement after. The ground was not even so we eventually just started doing side-to-side moves, while talking. When she was comfortable with the rhythm, she have put her left hand higher on my neck. We danced like that for around 20 minutes, then I've put her right hand on my left shoulder, and gently grabbed her by waist with my left hand. I immediately asked if she was comfortable and she said yes Another 20 minutes of slow dance and talks, and as all good things - it had to end. No dips, no rolls. Simple and genius. This was very romantic, I wish I could tell you what the look in her eyes was. Truly a wonderful moment :) Thank you guys, you do not realize the moment that you allowed me to create

I've shied away from dance clubs because of the confidence thing. I know it's all in my head, but I am excited to lead on a slow dance at a club. Thank you, this is achievable and I have the confidence to lead.

Thanks very much for this video! I just started working with elderly people, and they have music & dancing in the afternoons. I have absolutely no rhythm or coordination, so I've always hated dancing. 😂 Seeing how happy it makes them, though, made me really want to learn, just for them. ❤

y'all hooked me up here. Girlfriend and i went away for the weekend to see my folks for easter, and I had asked her to dance with me (my birthday fell on that weekend and she had asked what i wanted). So long story short, danced like a pro in the slight open space of a holiday inn room in west virginia to a randy travis song while we were both halfway through getting ready for church. This was instrumental in being able to be good at it!

Very Very nice video - simple and informative. Most importantly, your instructions for doing a 'dip' shows your respect for maintaining the' dignity' and 'concern' for your lady partner and her physical safety, while enjoying a slow dance ( or any other dance for that matter ). Very nice video - once again ! Warm regards.
