Thanks Vaughn. My partner and I tend to over rotate our step 1 of the natural as well as the reverse turns. As a result we seem to dance backwards. Please help!

Of course! There’s three things to focus on: 1. All FORWARD steps need CBM but you also need to think forward THEN turn using a SIDEWAYS action in the feet on step 2. 2. Alignment is where your feet are in relation to the room. Make sure your starting and ending on correct alignment. Ie Natural turns start Diagonal to Wall and end Line of Dance; Reverse turns start Diagonal to Centre and finish end Line of Dance. 3. Do not turn your foot out on step 1 - make sure it’s pointing forward on the forward step - if you turn out this is a major problem in crumpled turns.
