@ Tamron and @ elaem: I didn’t spot Iman, either. I will look again (planning to anyway bc this just blew me away- so different than the predyctable boring parades we now tend to see everywhere in fashion shows. I thought at first he was using largely unknown new models who will many become mini-supermodels (or supers of we still have any today, or in future). Then Beyoncé’s tribute and many of the supermodels emerged, starting with Naomi (or a lookalike). Carla Bruni closing the show was terrific, her body and walk so captivating (her face seeming a but youthful for “ right now,” but she’s beautiful and it’s up to her whatever she does to respect herself and her enjoy her life... she’s iconic on fashion and he had so many who posed while the nearly-unknowns who started the show *did not stop* at the end of the runway.... and I realized that all but three behaved that way so he likely instructed them to simply walk and turn and keep going (not stop for 3 seconds to pose). Then when the supermodels came out after Beyonce's spoken word tribute, each strutted and POSED. The comments on this show were MYRIAD- size range(a bit), age (ditto), (pregnancy on one model??), and starting the show with primarily BLACK models then adding white (or Caucasian) and Asian... just perfect with the upemdingbof the normal that Rousteing could’ve produced and sold to men and women of every race, ethnicity, age (and most sizes). But he gave us THIS instead, with a large budget of course bc the owners of the house realize (thank goodness, for them!) how lucky they are to have him. This stuff is ART or NEARLY SO, AND IT WILL “SELL.” Art in fashion can’t always sell. This - no problem. The cash will be pouring in, despite (or bc of) the length of the pandemic. Even those whose assets did not go up as definitely some couture customers’ experienced (almost immune by staying close to safe spaces)... ie even those who lost loved ones (actual lives, in a horrific way), or longterm Health, or businesses they worked hard to build, can (I hope) feel their spirits lifted by seeing this collection. A lighter mood - eg as Balmain was after WW2 (right?) Esp this guy’s amazing work, bc Rousteing didn’t grow up extremely privileged. Quite the opposite, I think.

They're bringing back low-rise jeans. I love how all the cutouts were so unique and the patterns well pretty amazing. This fashion show is the only show that I've watched so far that has all the unique designs and cutouts. Superb work for the designer. I love how neutral the colors were. I noticed that towards the end they let the models actually pose, something I haven’t seen since the 2000s/early 2010s. Granted, some of the models l looked hesitant… I presume because they haven’t done that in shows in a while but it is refreshing to see and I hope it comes back completely

21:00 The main event starts. This collection is so fantastic and fab. I love how detailed and crafted every piece is made. 24:12 That dress is so magical. 24:34 Omg! This outfit is so chic! 24:53 That flowy dress is so intricate. 25:25 the outfit is already a bomb, so is the model. 25:46 This pantsuit is everything! 26:03 It's so pretty! 26:24 Look how detailed this masterpiece would be. 27:09 That look is so classy. 27:30 That's well crafted. 27:45 The dress made her look so young. Overall, the venue is superb! This is the best spring-summer collection I've watched so far. What a show to celebrate their 10th anniversary. Congrats Balmain!
