According to the A320 FCTM, during a crosswind takeoff ( crosswind > 20kts) routine use of into the wind aileron is not necessary. It is however, required to maintain sidestick full forward until 80kts.

Hey Pranas, could you make the videos with both PF and PNF please, this is a A320 not a Cessa or Warrior. If you could do it that way, it will be much more interesting especially with the proper callouts, FMA read outs, C/L readings and CRM techniques.

Question, i need answers pls. Why did you dc ap at 100above? What is the ideal ft to dc ap? Many degrees up did u do for flaring? Also was your speed managed by fmc? Sorry for the questions. Im trying to practice how to land this a/c at xplane and its really hard to get used to the flybywire of the airbus.

I noticed for the t/o he seemed to increase thrust normally to 50%, check stability and then full thrust. FCOM states you should use a different technique no? For crosswind t/o, throttles to 50% N1, as the engines are reaching 50%, then you increase to 70% and as they pass 50% you then engage flex/toga. Or in this scenario maybe the crosswind wasn't strong enough bother...
@clearedfortakeoff42058 жыл бұрын
Yeap, you're absolutely right. That's what the FCTM states... I also noticed that he didn't move the sidestick forward (to load the nosewheel gear in order to be more stable during the rolling), but he did the unnecessary lateral inputs (I think he shouldn't, there's nothing about it in FCTM/FCOM)

I think one of the best landings I've experienced was in Brussels, on a rainy day, with strong wind on a Boeing 737-400 from Jet-Air. Just an impeccable landing. Especially since the flight from Brussels to Cyprus was on a A320 and the landing just well lets just say I'm glad the pilot landed the plane the second time around but in my opinion he shouldn't have. Glad I had xanax on me that day… Anyway.

the autopilot correct for the wind when autolanding?
@XXODD19827 жыл бұрын
How else would an A320 be able to autoland, in 0 kts wind? Would be a pretty useless feature if it would not correct for the wind to automatically land on a runway....

How do you arm the speedbrakes/spoilers on the airbus? I dont see him pulling the lever.
@raphaeljacob15489 жыл бұрын
+XpertPilotFSX ground spoilers are armed so on reverse they will come out and on normal thrus they will retract
@alanwong4028 жыл бұрын
It is rather subtle. On the speedbrake lever, you pull the lever up from retracted to armed. Just watch an video of an Airbus landing and you'll see the pilot pull the lever up to arm the speebrakes.
@crapper18 жыл бұрын

Does autopilot correct for crosswind itself?
@silvenkovich73529 жыл бұрын
No
@eddewes84098 жыл бұрын
yes the autopilot does the max crosswind landing for an auto land is 20kts tho so you leave the automation in gusty conditions until minimums on another note we rarely do autolands only in fog or other conditions because it requires so much equipment and conditions

Perhaps want to let go of the trustlevers after V1 till ACC alt..! If I would perform this 'properly conducted' take of without spooling the engines in two steps, full flightstick down in Xwind, I would have a pretty set of angry questions fired at me passing FL100 XD

During a takeoff in the A320 is good to apply slight aft pressure on the sidestick until 80 KT. In a crosswind, is it necessary to approach the runway a bit on the opposite side of the wind direction due to the rudder effect if you want to keep the center line.

My boy if you do like this with me in real flight I’ll give you a priority left😂 You should’ve retarded the levers earlier and started to decrab earlier and slowly! Remember in real flight the wind is never steady! It’s always gusting! Take care
